CZEŚĆ POLSKA! ALL SAINTS' DAY IN WARSAW
We're baaaaack! After over a year since our first visit to Poland, we're back to see more of the beauty in this country and couldn't be happier. First we need to brush up on our Polish and practice some Polish phrases for travellers. Then we head to the historic Powązki Cemetery for All Saints' Day in Warsaw.
All Saints' Day is a solemn holiday celebrated by Christians in many countries around the world. Traditions include going to mass and visiting graves of loved ones to honour them with prayer, candles and flowers. We're really glad we were able to spend All Saints' Day in Warsaw and learn more about the important traditions here in Poland.
Let us know if you'll be in Warsaw on Saturday morning for a YouTube Meetup?!?

Lyrics
When we were young
We were the ones the kings and queens, oh yeah we ruled the world
We smoked cigarettes, man no regrets
wish I could re live every single word
We've taken different paths and travelled different roads
I know we'll always end up on the same one when we're old
And when we're in the trenches and you're under fire I will cover you
If I was dying on my knees
You would be the one to rescue me
And if you were drowned at sea
I'd give you my lungs so you could breathe
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
Oh brother we go deeper than the ink beneath the skin of our tattoos
No we don't share the same blood,
You're my brother and I love you that's the truth
We're living different lives,, heaven only knows
If we'll make it back with all our fingers and our toes
Five years, twenty years come back, we'll always be the same
If I was dying on my knees
You would be the one to rescue me
And if you were drowned at sea
I'd give you my lungs so you could breathe
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
And if we hit on troubled water
I'll be the one to keep you warm and safe
And we'll be carrying each other
Until we say goodbye on our dying day
Because I've got you brother
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
If I was dying on my knees
You would be the one to rescue me
And if you were drowned at sea
I'd give you my lungs so you could breathe
Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh x 2
I've got you brother
I've got you brother
32 WARSAW IN THE 1930S A Look Back at Poland's Capital Just Before World War II
Warsaw in the 1930s: A Look Back at Poland's Capital Just Before World War II.
The city of Warsaw, capital of Poland, flanks both banks of the Vistula River. A city of 1.3 million inhabitants, Warsaw was the capital of the resurrected Polish state in 1919. Before World War II, the city was a major center of Jewish life and culture in Poland. Warsaw's prewar Jewish population of more than 350,000 constituted about 30 percent of the city's total population. The Warsaw Jewish community was the largest in both Poland and Europe, and was the second largest in the world, second only to New York City.
Following the German invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, Warsaw suffered heavy air attacks and artillery bombardment. German troops entered Warsaw on September 29, shortly after its surrender.
Take a look at the capital of Poland in the 1930s to see everyday life of Warsaw before WWII.
