Saodin Thailand Trip (Inabot ng bagyo kagalaan)
So it's a long weekend, and we decided to ride our bikes and hit the road to Saodin Nan Thailand. The weather is fine when we left Pua district, it's a butt numbing 2 hour drive to Nan City then 2 more hours to Saodin Nanoi. When we hit Nanoi, the skies started to darken with raging wind and roaring thunder. It's a storm. The officers allowed us to stay at least an hour to look around and take pictures. But after 30 minutes they call our attention and told us to go home because it's dangerous to stay around the area during storm. Anyway, the natural structure is really beautiful, i wish we had more time to look around.

Here's the second part of our first day on a tour around the beautiful Nan Province in Northern Thailand. Here we visit the stunning Wat Phuket in Nan Thailand.
We think this could be the best scenery at any temple we've been to in Thailand. It's definitely one of the best things to see in Nan. Northern Thailand is such a beautiful part of the country and Nan is definitely up there as one of our favourite provinces.

Located in the remote Nan river valley, surrounded by forested mountains and bordering Laos to the east, Nan remains off the tourist trail for most, but those that do make it here get to experience a province and people steeped in history, with a rich and unique culture and some of the regions most spectacular and un-spoilt natural scenery.
Nan’s unique cultural legacy is clearly visible in the city's art and architecture, particularly in the abundance of exquisite temples dotted around the city. Perhaps the most famous of all Nan’s temples is Wat Phumin, which is celebrated for its beautiful Lanna-style murals, considered to be some of the finest examples in the country.

Just over 10 percent of Nan's population is hill-tribes, and special excursions to traditional villages can be easily arranged and are in our opinion, certainly worthwhile. Pa Klang Hill Tribe Village, about 69km from Nan city is a popular choice and is home to Meo, Yao and Thin hill-tribes. As well as getting to meet the villagers and gaining a unique insight into their daily lives, you can also buy local hand-made crafts, which make for perfect gifts and souvenirs.
Nan’s historic isolation, convergence of different cultures and beautiful natural setting makes it a truly unique and inspiring destination, so why not come and indulge yourself in one of Thailand’s most romantic and undiscovered provinces?
