Rowing out in dinghy to Kotare which was moored out in the river at the main boat harbour at Taupo, Note the old boat sheds - they used to be full of fresh-water crayfish. Peter Williams the skipper built the boat at the home farm Rotokare near Napier. The only steel hull launch on Lake Taupo I understand at the time. My mum, Kewpie Williams in white top; sister Gay the sweet little girl. Zoe and son Marcus (Marky) Barron also on board, Guy Barron was cameraman. Not sure of other lass. Shoreline near end of clip is where the hot water on lake-edge and in sand is, just near where Napier road hits the around lake road. Boat was later owned and used by harbour-master as rescue launch for a while. Where is it now?
