This Edison Model A290 gramophone is part of the Wiese Gramophone Collection at the Westlock Pioneer Museum.

The record itself is an Edison Diamond Disk. It is almost a ¼ inch thick. These records were produced between 1912 and 1929.

Duplex Gramophone playing Keep on the Sunny Side
This Duplex gramophone is part of the Wiese Gramophone Collection at the Westlock Pioneer Museum. This machine was manufactured in Kalamazoo, Michigan, between 1906 and 1908.
The record that is being played is “Keep on the Sunny Side,” sung by the Carter Family. It was recorded in 1928.

Victor Victrola VVX playing Get Away Old Man, Get Away
This Victor Victrola Model VVX gramophone is part of the Wiese Gramophone Collection at the Westlock Pioneer Museum.
15,000 of this “spindle leg” model were produced between 1912 and 1913.
This gramophone was used by Alberta radio station CKUA for the first few weeks the station was on the air in 1927.
The record being played is of Frank Crumit, singing “Get Away Old Man, Get Away. It was recorded in 1926.

Edison Triumph Model E playing Let Us Not Forget

This Victor “Presentation Model” gramophone is part of the Wiese Gramophone Collection at the Westlock Pioneer Museum.
The gramophone was a very expensive special order. Parts of it are gold plated. It was manufactured in England in about 1903.
The recording is of Louis Armstrong singing “Blueberry Hill”. It was recorded in 1949.

Edison Amberola B1 playing Sunnyside Sal
This Edison Amberola Phonograph Model B1 is part of the Wiese Gramophone Collection at the Westlock Pioneer Museum. It was manufactured between 1909 and 1911.
The original cost of the machine was $200.00, which is the equivalent of $2,759.00 today.
The cylinder record being played is of Vernon Dalhart singing “Sunnyside Sal” with Soprano Gladys Rice. It was recorded June 2nd, 1921.

The nickel plated Edison Opera is very rare, and may be the only example of this model in existence. It was manufactured between 1911 and 1914.

This model was nicknamed “The Schoolhouse”. It was sold to schools. It was manufactured between 1917 and 1926.
The record being played is of Wilf Carter singing “He Rode the Strawberry Roan”. It was recorded in 1955.
