Wairoa Dam, completed in 1975, is one of a series of rolled earth water supply dams in Auckland's Hunua Ranges.
There are two ways to go to the Wairoa dam. One is to go to the suspension bridge track and go on a steep challenging hike. The other option, which is the option we took, is to walk through the Otua valley road, which is a drive way and takes less than 30 minutes. This road is only accessible by foot as vehicles are not allowed to go inside as there is a gate blocking the way.
The Background music is played by Phillip's own piece
