The History:
Known as Whispering Sands, Mount Bromo has 2,392 meters high above sea level and is located in 4 districts of East Java, there are Probolinggo, Pasuruan, Malang, and Lumajang. Although located in 4 different areas, but the peak of Mount Bromo located at Probolinggo. Sunrise will be an awesome view and never forgotten when reach the peak of Mount Bromo.
The Pasir Berbisik (Whispering Sands) setting is a large “sea of sand” in the middle of the caldera in which the crater and Mount Batok are also located. Apparently, the area received its name due to an Indonesian film that was partially filmed there. The area is actually quite beautiful. Standing there you feel like standing on top of the world as giant white fluffy and marshmallowey clouds pass you by.

In Bromo, the camera was tested in low temperature and dry highland condition. The place was also chilling and windy, and fortunately there was intermittent sand storm at the time of shoot. The camera was also tested in low light condition, high contrast and constantly-changing exposure.

Setelah menyaksikan sunrise Bromo, luangkanlah sedikit waktu untuk menikmati pemandangan asap putih tipis yang beterbangan dengan suara berdesir di atas Lautan Pasir di sebelah timur Lautan Pasir. Inilah sejatinya atraksi Pasir Berbisik (menurut supir jip hardtop kami...).
Ia bercerita bahwa pasir basah (karena embun) di kawasan timur Bromo terpanasi matahari pagi hingga embun menguap. Dan seperti kita ketahui bersama, di kawasan pegunungan yang dingin uap air tersebut akan lekas mengembun kembali menjadi titik-titik air di udara. Persis sama dengan napas kita di pegunungan yang tampak seolah asap. Titik-titik air tersebut beterbangan tertiup angin tepat di atas permukaan Lautan Pasir... terutama jika dilihat dari kejauhan.
Kami cukup beruntung karena hujan deras yang turun sehari sebelum kedatangan kami ke Bromo membuat Lautan Pasir lebih basah daripada biasanya, sehingga asap pasir berbisik yang kami temui pagi itu cukup tebal...

Inilah gurun pasir Gunung Bromo yang tercipta akibat letusan gunung Bromo yang luar biasa sehingga terciptalah keunikan yang berupa lautan pasir seluas 5.250 hektar dan berada pada ketinggian ± 2.100 meter dari permukaan laut. Daerah sini dijuluki masyarakat Pasir Berbisik, hal ini dikarenakan lautan pasir ini penah dipakai sebagai lokasi shooting film Pasir Berbisik.

At 2,329 metres (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif, but is the most well known. The massif area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god.
Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a plain called the Sea of Sand (Javanese: Segara Wedi or Indonesian: Lautan Pasir), a protected nature reserve since 1919. The typical way to visit Mount Bromo is from the nearby mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. From there it is possible to walk to the volcano in about 45 minutes, but it is also possible to take an organised jeep tour, which includes a stop at the viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan (2,770 m or 9,088 ft) (Indonesian: Gunung Penanjakan). The viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan can also be reached on foot in about two hours.

Epic Malang Trip
One of the most epic trip i’ve visited in Indonesia for sure. Malang has so many to offer, from the suburb city of Malang which is a culinary paradise and the close to nature side of Batu. This place got me so amazed by it’s beauty, but the highlight of our trip surely was the awesome Bromo Mountain. Watching sunrise from the top of its sunrise point, driving through the wide landscape surrounded by hills and small mountains, feel the windy breeze of whispering sand. There are so many things to do here for a place that can be explored on just a half day trip. Definitely the mountain of Gods which what the local said it is.

Hello everyone, this time I am visiting a place, the name of this place is Pasir Berbisik, this place like a desert. According to its name Pasir Berbisik, the sands in this place can make a sound. How? When the wind flows, it makes the sands have a friction, it caused by wind flows. You can find this place in National Park Tourism Area in Indonesia, to be exact it is located in Malang, East Java. Many people come here even tourists from other country. For you who really traveling, you have to come here. The scenery is really awesome.
Bromo Trip | From Jogja
We pick up them at Bledok hotel near Maliboro road. We're starting on 08.00 am through Kartasuro-Nganjuk road toll. We arrived on 06.00 pm in Wonokitri village and stay at one of guest house. On 03.00 am Mr Hendro the driver of Hardtop car pick up us to go to Pananjakan View Hill. On 04.00 We have at the peak of Pananjakan then waiting the sun rise. On 04.30 the sun rising and the scenery so amazing. We can see Bromo's crater and surround. We've then go to the next stop. Pasir berbisik (Whisper sand)and Bukit Teletubis. Around 12.00 pm We've leave Wonokitri continuing
