Playa Publica: Weekend in Cabo
Boats filled with tourists eager to snorkel anchor in the bay in front of Playa Publica, just a short distance north of Cabo San Lucas. Avoid that pricey charter charge and the squirming crowds by bringing your own snorkel and driving to the beach. This ensures your freedom to come and go at your leisure. When you tire of cavorting with the sea life, just spread out that beach towel and laz-around in the warm sun. If you've thought of bringing a picnic then you are in definitely in heaven. There is no charge to park or play on the beach. This is Cabo's best value.

GoPro: Diving the Uribe P121, Baja California's newest wreck
On November 21, 2015, the retired Mexican Navy ship Uribe P121 was sunk as the first artificial reef in the major project that will eventually become Rosarito's Underwater Park ( I got to dive with the Northern Baja's first ever dive shop, Baja Diving Adventures. They are a brand new operation, but they are a great group of fun, adventurous, yet responsible and knowledgable divers from Mexico. (
The water was cold, green, and murky, but that helped make for a spooky adventure on the wreck sunk to about 90 feet at its deepest. Although my adventures into and through the wreck were too dark for my little GoPro videography, here are some of the highlights from outside and around the ship.
Cruise Ship Clothing Tuxedo Gown? Carnival Triumph Norwegian Breakaway News OnBoard Photography
Cruise Ship Clothing Tuxedo Gown? Carnival Triumph Norwegian Breakaway News OnBoard Photography We talk about what to wear on a cruise and should the guys bring a tuxedo for formal night? Hey and what about the onboard photography services? Should you use their services, or just do a couple of quick selfies?
We covered the Norwegian Breakaway cruise ship that sailed through a winter storm from the Bahamas to New York. Cruise ships have to keep on schedule as they sell cruises up to 2 years in advance. Ships can only stay in port for a certain amount of time between sailings and must unload passengers and board new passangers so that all air connections can be made from the port city. All of the food and supplies for the next cruise is usually waiting at the dock at a pre determined time to be loaded onto the incoming ship and with dock workers standing by the meter is running for the ship owners to get the ship turned around as quickly as possible. For passangers it all seems effortless and it should. We also talked about the latest update about the poop cruise ship called the Carnival Triumph which had failed a CDC inspection about a month ago. It had a new inspection and the score this time was 98 out of 100... one of the highest scores ever made. The Triumph cruise ship is probably the cleanest ship on the seas today.

SUMMARY
=======
The Age of Discovery, or the Age of Exploration (approximately from the beginning of the 15th century until the end of the 18th century) is an informal and loosely defined term for the period in European history in which extensive overseas exploration emerged as a powerful factor in European culture and was the beginning of globalization. It also marks the rise of the period of widespread adoption in Europe of colonialism and mercantilism as national policies. Many lands previously unknown to Europeans were discovered by them during this period, though most were already inhabited. From the perspective of many non-Europeans, the Age of Discovery marked the arrival of invaders from previously unknown continents.
Global exploration started with the Portuguese discoveries of the Atlantic archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores, the coast of Africa, and the discovery of the sea route to India in 1498; and the Crown of Castile (Spain) the trans-Atlantic Voyages of Christopher Columbus to the Americas between 1492 and 1502 and the first circumnavigation of the globe in 1519–1522. These discoveries led to numerous naval expeditions across the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans, and land expeditions in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia that continued into the late 19th century, and ended with the exploration of the polar regions in the 20th century.
European overseas exploration led to the rise of global trade and the European colonial empires, with the contact between the Old World (Europe, Asia and Africa) and the New World (the Americas and Australia) producing the Columbian Exchange; a wide transfer of plants, animals, food, human populations (including slaves), communicable diseases and culture between the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. This represented one of the most-significant global events concerning ecology, agriculture and culture in history. The Age of Discovery and later European exploration allowed the global mapping of the world, resulting in a new world-view and distant civilizations coming into contact, but also led to the propagation of diseases that decimated populations not previously in contact with Eurasia and Africa and to the enslavement, exploitation, military conquest and economic dominance by Europe and its colonies over native populations. It also allowed for the expansion of Christianity throughout the world: with the spread of missionary activity, it eventually became the world's largest religion.
