Blue Ostrich Winery & Vineyard- Texas winery using bottling truck to bottle wine
This is a brief overview of what it looks like when we use the Bacchanalia Bottling truck out of Spicewood Texas. When running at full capacity, we can sparge, fill, cork, capsule and label over 2000 bottles an hour! This is a very efficient way for medium size wineries to get their wines bottled. This is one of two bottling trucks that operate in Texas. This type of operation is very common in California, Oregon and Washington. The wine being bottled in this video is our popular sweet red blend called CIELO.

Darden Smith and Songwriting With: Soldiers
Darden Smith, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, speaker and founder/creative director of Songwriting With: Soldiers, performs and gives lecture at JCCC.
This exclusive performance-based presentation kicked off JCCC's annual Veterans Week celebrations, highlighting the work done by Smith and his Songwriting With:Soldiers project.
During a two-day visit to JCCC, Smith conducted songwriting workshops with veteran students who became his songwriting partners. Together they crafted songs about their experiences, about combat and about the return home.
These original compositions were part of this special evening performance and included an informal presentation and audience conversation with Smith. The performance used words, music and images to take the audience on a journey from Smith's start in the early-1980s Austin, Texas, music scene to his awakening to the power of collaboration, which led to starting a non-profit organization and using his craft of songwriting in the service of others.
The Polsky Series is underwritten by the Norman and Elaine Polsky Family Supporting Foundation within the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation in partnership with JCCC and includes topics not currently offered elsewhere. For more information about the series, visit
