Discovering Bali Withlocals by Patrick & Allegra
Patrick and Allegra went on Jakarta discovery tour with Withlocals host Vera and they loved it! Between the Sunda Kelapa Harbour, the Bahari Museum, China town, the Muara Karang fish market and the food stalls on Sabang Street, here's the local way to discovering the bustling city of Jakarta.

Exploring Denpasar - Gateway to Bali | Less-touristy Bali | Indonesia ????????
Denpasar is the capital of Bali, one of the most popular islands in Indonesia, and also where the airport is located. We decided to stay for a day to get over our flight and see somewhere different! We actually hadn't heard of anyone going there even for a short visit - instead they seem to head straight to Kuta (which sounds like our worst nightmare) or Ubud. Denpasar's central park is a really cool place, and people seem to miss while in Bali, which features a really cool Hindu temple called Pura Agung Jagatnatha. In the evening the park was packed with locals who were either running, playing football or practising yoga. It had a great vibe. Denpasar doesn't have any really major attractions, it's less touristy, but you can walk along the coast, explore the streets and get to see a standard town in Bali, away from the crowds of tourists. We also found some really good vegan restaurants and ate so well!

LEGENDARY Local WARUNGS + BALI Rare BEEF LAWAR: Indonesian Food Tour
Today was all about local WARUNGS!
After watching a beautiful sunrise, I headed over to Nasi Campur Weti to eat at this legend of a warung. With locals lined up far with over 30 minutes until open! I didn’t have to wait too long as I was dining in, but I will say...I would have waited an hour for that nasi campur. What a LEGEND.
Next up and only a short 20 minute walk away, was Mak Beng. This place only does a few things, fried fish and fish head soup. However, for good reason as they are doing these two dishes superbly.
After this I headed for some Lawar, but lawar you really will not find much of in Bali, beef lawar! This place was almost as much fun to eat at, as it was to watch the people fixing plates and to go wraps at incredible speeds!
I decided to take a break and enjoy the sweeter side of Bali. I went for a Balinese pancake known as laklak. A coconut milk, rice flour, and a dash of salt batter fried up in a cast iron skillet and high heat. Shredded coconut and pandan sugar made the perfect topping.
Lasty, I went for babi guling, but got denied as this warung had stopped selling it! However, I got to really enjoy a nasi campur loaded up with ayam and babi dishes which felt like a lovely home cooked meal. Not to mention the awesome sambal and amounts the lady gave me!

Tips for Shopping and Changing Money in Bali
Tips for Shopping and Changing Money in Bali
Today in Kuta, Bali, we share with you some of our tips for changing money in Bali. Unsuspecting tourists are a target for shady money changers who will attempt to rip you off. In previous trips to Bali we’ve had money changers try to scam us. Luckily for us we were aware of the Money Changer Scam in Bali and avoided becoming a victim of this crime. Also, in this video we share some general tips for shopping in Bali after we reluctantly visited a shop in Kuta. Having to barter while shopping in Bali can be a difficult situation but if you know what to expect you’ll be able to handle it just fine.
If you have any other question about these topic please ask us in the comments. Also, if you have been to Bali before and have any tips of your own you’d like to share, please tell us in the comments. You could even tell us about your experience while shopping in Bali. What did you buy? How much did you pay?

THIS VIDEO:
So now its time to leave gili-air and head in more central to the main area in bali, wich is kuta. kuta is like a big city in bali, almost kinda like denpasar. But the reason why we went here was because it was close to the airport and we felt that it was easier to get their if we lived nearby. so a busy day after going by boat ( wich splashed and kept us soaking wet the entire ride) and shuttle bus. first thing that happens when we arrive to kuta is that 2 guys that were friends appereantly ( a guard and a cab driver) was offering us a ride to the hotel and tried to tell us their was just way to long to walk.. luckily we got rescued by another couple and were set of to discover kuta by our own. after that more salesman tried to sell us things and the weather didnt change for the better. however a decent first day of kuta i shall not complain that much as i do in the video but overall i was still happy. i was probably to relaxed after leaving gili air so i wasnt used to the high tempo in kuta.. anyways hope you guys enjoy!

BACKGROUND:
IF YOU ARE NEW! On my channel you will be tagging along on my daily adventures or just see me to do what I love which is to make an entertaining video. I do daily vlogs, producing music, reaction videos you name it! Why? Well, the reason is simple. It’s because storytelling and to entertain has and will always be my passion! Youtube has become this storage bank where I basically can save all my memories and look back at whenever I want. Like a big diary if you will! Anyways in my videos you will not see any professional material or exclusive or extremely expensive things that I can brag to you about. No in my videos I will show you who I am and what I do. I will not make videos just to earn some quick bucks or make some videos that collect many views. No I will make videos that I personally will feel good about.

In this video, we take a look at 9 amazing things to see, do, and eat, while in #Bali. Don't miss these 9 things when traveling in Bali! Let's now look at how to travel in Bali:
1. River Rafting - We go river rafting on the Ayung River. This 2-hour rafting trip takes you through amazing scenery and under beautiful waterfalls. It ends with a free lunch. It is a must-do activity for any traveler in Bali.
2. Monkey Forest Temple: We visit Monkey Forest Temple and check out over 600 wild monkey. Be careful - as the monkeys can bite! If you are visiting Ubud, this family friendly place is somewhere you can't miss!
3. Ubud Art Market - Located in Ubud, this market is perfect for those who want to shop while in Bali. Items can be haggled, and you can get some good deals if you are willing to bargain. This is a great place to shop for clothing and souvenirs in Bali!
4. Water Sports in Nusa Dua - This was so fun! Go parasailing and ride a banana boat in Nusa Dua! I booked through 'Klook'. I would highly recommend you do the same! See above to save a bit of money.
We were picked up from our hotel, and driven to the place in Nusa Dua - for free! This was a really fun activity not to miss in Bali!
5. Babi Guling - Babi Guling is a roasted suckling pig. We ate at Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka 3. Anthony Bourdain once said this was some of the best pork he ever ate! The meat was juicy and tender. If you are looking for the best food in Bali, you must try babi guling! You won't regret it!
6. Periuk Bali Cooking Class - this is the best cooking class in Bali! Located in Ubud, the nice staff will pick you up from your hotel. You will visit a market, a rice field, and then prepare some amazing Balinese dishes. The best part, of course, is being able to eat all the great food you cooked! You shouldn't miss this cooking class!
7. Luwak Coffee - Luwak coffee is coffee beans that have been eaten and then digested by a luwak (civet cat). This is a free activity in Ubud. We sampled a variety of teas and coffees. Check out our review of the luwak coffee in this video!
8. Sanur Night Market - if you are looking for a great night market in Bali, you must visit the sanur night market. This night market serves delicious food for a very cheap price! We ate a variety of foods for less than $10. This is great for backpackers or those looking to travel on a budget.
9. Nusa Lembongan - We travelled from Sanur to Nusa Lembongan. We checked out Devil's Tear and Dream Beach. We then crossed the Yellow Bridge and visited Nusa Ceningan. The Blue Lagoon was one of the most beautiful places in Bali. You absolutely must check out these islands outside of Bali. Nusa Lembongan is 30 minutes by boat ride from Bali. We took Rocky Cruises to reach Nusa Lembongan. This is a great place for those looking for honeymoon recommendations.

Having fun in Bali with some locals who become bestfriends
I like to travel to connect with like-minded people and make new friends. And I found them on Bali. Love the vibe and your kidness. Miss you guys. You will see me very soon????
SANUR @ SINDHU BEACH AREA BALI 2019
This is Sanur around the Sindhu Beach area not Sanur beach
My time was consumed mostly by the beach restaurants
So quiet, peaceful and relaxing day and night
I mean, it's lively enough in the day with locals loving the beach as much as tourists.
There's not much haggling or hassling of any kind really and there's a distinct lack of bullshit from the locals

Well, it’s been 13 weeks since we left home and we just finished our journey around Indonesia. What an adventure its been, going from the highest mountains to the depths of the ocean.
We started our journey in Yogyakarta, seeing the Prambanan, a 9th century Hindu temple compound. We spent a few hours walking through the site where they have rebuilt some of the temples, some of which tower at 47 meters high and are piecing together the broken parts of the others. This beautiful UNESCO world heritage site definitely impressed us.
Click here for more information about the Prambanan Hindu temple:
Our next adventure was visiting Mount Bromo. This active volcano in East Java is almost 2500 meters tall and is the most well known and most commonly hiked volcano in Indonesia. Our day there was gloomy, rainy, cold and windy but we powered through, laughing the whole way up the mountain. We stayed warm by sitting with locals next to the fire, eating fermented soy bean fritters and drinking hot tea.
Click here to learn more about Mount Bromo and when the best time to visit is:

Finally off to the sunny South of Indonesia, we find ourselves in Bali. What a treat it was to be there. Just an hour North of the Denpasar airport we arrived at our beautiful villa in Ubud, in the middle of the jungle and seemingly all to ourselves. Just fifteen minutes from the main strip of the town, we found ourselves loving the quick scooter ride there and back, nothing was too far to get to and not even the torrential mid day downpours were able to hold us back. The rice paddies that surround the area always offer a photogenic scene. The small cafes and restaurants are all very boutique and well priced. Some of our favourite places include The Elephant, Naughty Nuris and Clear Cafe.

Kuta was a bustling beachside town that had great food and was easy to get around (if you can ride a scooter). We had a blast exploring every day, getting lost and finding little markets, restaurants or boutique shops. We enjoyed walking along the beaches with soft sand and taking pictures of the surfers and sunsets alike. Our time in Kuta was pretty relaxed, we loved hanging out on the bean bag chairs by the beach and watching the sunset while sipping on a cold beer.
Click here to see where we stayed:
The final destination of our Indonesian adventure was the island of Gili Trawangan. A small island that is only home to about 3500 people. Being 3km long and 2km wide, made it pretty easy to see the whole of it in less than day on a bicycle. Our favourite part about this island was that there are absolutely no gas powered vehicles allowed on land. the only way to get around was by horse and buggy, bicycle or your own two feet. Our first 4 days were spent getting PADI certified at the Blue Marlin Dive centre. We lucked out with two of the greatest instructors Firman and Nick, we had a total blast for the entirety of the course. The remaining 5 days were spent snorkelling, diving and just exploring the island at our own pace.
