Palakkad: The iconic statue of Yakshi in Malampuzha is all set for a facelift. Fifty years after he sculpted the statue, sculptor Kanayi Kunhiraman is returning to his 'Yakshi' to make it bronze-plated.

Shankumugham Beach is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. The vast stretch of white sand and the serene atmosphere, away from the crowd in the city, provide all the ingredients for relaxation and for spending an ideal evening. Good food can be enjoyed at the Indian Coffee House, just across the beach, which is also a vantage point for enjoying the sunset. The sculpture of Sagarakanyaka - Mermaid by Kanayi Kunhiraman is an added attraction. This giant statue is more than 35m long. The Jawaharlal Nehru Park of Traffic signs for children is situated here, which is helpful for the children to understand the traffic rules while playing in the park. The park also provides cycling facilities for small children.

Naranath Bhranthan Rayiranellur hill [ Pattambi, Palakkad, Kerala, India ]
Naranath Branthan is a character in Malayalam folklore. He was considered to be a divine person, a Mukhta who pretended to be mad. His chief activity consisted of rolling a big stone up a hill and then letting it fall back down. There is a large statue of Naranath in Pattambi, Palakkad district of Kerala where he is believed to have lived. The Naranathu Branthan hill is located at Rayiranelloor in Palakkad district on the Valanchery - Pattambi road after Thiruvegappura Shiv temple. It takes 1.5 hour to climb the hill. Many climb the hill during 1st of Thulam . On top there is a statue of Naranathu Branthan. The nearest rail head is Kuttipuram in Malappuram district on the Shornur - Kozhikode route.
