We were trying to visit Palakkad for quite sometime. Even when we planned for it during the Onam vacation, the place was flooded and we couldn't access Palakkad. At last, after a week of the devastating flood in Kerala and it's nasty impact on the people here, we set off from Kochi to Palakkad.
