Yakuri Cable (Funicular) and Yakuri-ji (Buddhist temple) in Japan
The Yakuri Cable is a Japanese funicular line in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. It is owned and operated by Shikoku Cable. The line opened in 1931 as a route to Yakuri-ji, a Buddhist temple and the 85th temple of Shikoku Pilgrimage.
Also nearby is the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum in the atelier of the artist Isamu Noguchi.

Temple 86 Shidoji - 志度寺
Perhaps the most lush and jungle like gardens to be found at any temple along the pilgrimage route are at Temple 86, Shidoji - 志度寺 - The Temple of Fulfilling One’s Wishes. This temple is associated with some of the earliest Fujiwara family history. The Fujiwaras were one of the most powerful families in ancient Japan. I recount the legend of a famous pearl diver who retrieved a pearl from the Dragon King’s lair on the condition that her son take over the Fujiwara family. Her son was Fujiwara Fusasaki. The tomb to this pearl diving mother and some of her ancestors is still maintained on the temple grounds. There is also a national treasure of a naked grandmother statue in one of the buildings. 之前四月到日本四國旅行，可惜櫻花已經過左滿開，開始花落；拍攝地點為高松空港公園，咁當然唔可以航拍，唯有地拍，用ViltaG手持雲台加GoPro Hero5, 非常輕便啱哂旅行用。

初詣 五剣山八栗寺 中将坊天狗絵図公開（2020年1月）
#香川県 #高松市 にある#第85番札所五剣山観自在院八栗寺 に初詣に行った際の様子です。
今年は中将坊堂にて、讃岐三大天狗の一人中将坊天狗の絵図がはじめて公開されていました。
表参道を15分ほど登るとお迎え大師があります。二天門をくぐると聖天堂、本堂、その奥の階段を上ると中将坊堂があります。お正月なので鐘楼堂、縁日にも列ができていました。
商売繁盛、学業成就、良縁祈願など、多くの方が参詣されていました。

This year, a picture of one of the three great Sanuki Tengus, ChujouboTengu, was released at Chujouboudo.
A 15-minute walk from Omotesando will bring you to the welcoming master Omukaedaisi. After passing through Nitenmon, you will find Sintendo and the main hall, and climb the stairs behind it to find Chujouboudo. Since it is New Year, the bell tower and the line were also formed on the fair.
Many people were visiting, such as business prosperity, academic achievement, and prayers for good relations.

八栗ケーブル 八栗登山口駅到着 Yakuri Cable Funicular
1964年に製造されたボンネット形が特徴であるコ-1形がゆっくりと下ってくる。この路線は四国八十八箇所八十五番札所八栗寺への参拝客が利用する。
Yakuri Cable Line Ko1 series funicular will arrive at Yakuri-tozanguchi station, Kagawa Prefecture. This line is route to Yakuri-ji, the 85th temple of Shikoku Pilgrimage.
【4K前面展望】1964年製車両が現役!八栗ケーブルの上り＆下り全区間
1964年製の日立製車両が現役の八栗ケーブルカーの上り＆下り全区間4K前面展望映像です。
なお、この車両と同型のものが六甲ケーブルと伊香保ケーブルで活躍していました。
六甲ケーブルでは2代目車両として1959年から1999年まで、伊香保ケーブルでは1961年から1966年(路線廃止となり、5年で離脱)まで活躍していました。当時の日立製標準型ケーブルカーともいえるこの車両は、当時のボンネットバスやトラックのように丸みの帯びた可愛らしいフォルムとなっています。
四国霊場の参拝として重要なこの路線を乗るのは少々大変で、最寄駅の志度線八栗駅から坂道もある約20分の徒歩連絡となっています。

Temple 85 Yakuriji - 八栗寺
One of the wealthiest and largest temple compounds on the pilgrimage is the Temple of Eight Chestnuts, Yakuriji - 八栗寺, Temple 85. If you take the cable car up you are going to enter through the back and will walk past the Daishido hall to get to the main hall. If you do try and go out the main entrance, a ways past the gate to the look out point where there is a statue of Kobo Daishi and a view of the city below. It is a bit of a walk, but worth it. This temple is so wealthy because it is really two temples in one. Next to the main hall is another temple that houses the elephant headed Hindu deity Ganesh. It was the first Ganesh brought to Japan in the 16th century and it is prayed to for good luck in business on the 16th of every month. Everyone who has gained good fortune by praying to Ganesh has made generous donations to the temple. 四国村（しこくむら）は、香川県高松市にある日本の江戸時代から明治時代の民家を中心とする古建築をテーマとする博物館。1976年（昭和51年）に開館した。運営は、公益財団法人四国民家博物館（しこくみんかはくぶつかん）。屋島の南山麓、屋島神社の東隣に位置する。
広大な敷地に、四国各県と兵庫県から移築・復元した江戸時代から明治時代の民家、伝統産業施設、灯台をはじめとする建築物を展示する屋外型博物館である。国指定の重要文化財建造物2棟、重要有形民俗文化財の建物6棟をはじめ、ほぼ全ての建造物が文化財の指定・登録を受けている。
2002年、村内に安藤忠雄設計の美術館と庭園で構成される四国村ギャラリーが開館した。 * *
Temple 84 Yashimaji - 屋島寺
Set up on a hill overlooking the site of many famous battles from The Tales of the Heike between the Taira and the Minamoto is Temple 84, Yashimaji - 屋島寺, Roof Island Temple. The hike up to the temple is a bit of a yin and yang, as it starts off with a city hike that then turns into a pleasant mountain hike. The temple has a small but very interesting museum that, unfortunately, is only open on Sundays. Near the back gate (the main gate if you come by vehicle) is blood pond. So named because after a battle the Genji cleaned their swords in it and it turned red with the blood of the Taira. お遍路四国八十八ヶ所 T84屋島寺
