There you will find tranquility, peace and nice walking trails and of course the yarra river. It is at the base of Mount Donna Buang which is only a 17km drive from there. We go to Warburton regularly. You will find some nice eateries there, cafes, restaurants, bakery, chicken shop, ice-cream and many other shops. There is an information centre with helpful staff to guide you. It is well worth the trip.

Gordon Dipple 18th December 2017 Last full day in Warburton, indeed the last full day of this truly incredible trip. Took a walk in to town along the Yarra river for a final look and use the post office. James made a delicious melt in the mouth pie for our lunch, and after my little thank you job of fixing the hose reel to the wall, had supper with my hosts Annabelle and Hamish.
Thus ensuring I had five weeks of exceptional hospitality and welcome, from the countless folk along the way, right to the very end.
Thanks is not enough for all you lovely people, not forgetting all my facebook friends, who enthused me by your presence, to do much more than I would without you.
Now I’m packing and preparing myself for the Thirty-six hour, bus, train, train, bus, plane, plane, plane, bus, bus journey home.
Thank you Australia ????????, thank you New Zealand ???????? it has been a blast ????❤️????
Mt Donna Buang - Yarra Ranges, Victoria, Australia
Mount Donna Buang is the easiest mountain in Victoria to visit, only 1 hours drive from Melbourne, Mt Donna Buang has the picturesque town of Warburton at the base, see beautiful Eucalypt forests and towering Tree Ferns, the drive to the mountain is almost as enjoyable as arriving there.

Things to do in the Yarra ranges and Yarra Valley, Melbourne in a day.
Today we visit the Yarra ranges in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We also visit the Yarra Valley, Healesville and Healesville Sanctuary with its many native Australian animals, including echidnas and koalas. We drive through the majestic Black Spur forest, then on to Marysville and the spectacular Steavenson Falls. The area is famous for its towering mountain ash trees, (eucaliptus regnans) amongst the tallest trees in the world, as are the California redwoods, in East Warburton. We drive through the snow capped Mount Donna Buang, the first along the Australian Alps. Lower down the mountain is the mysterious Rainforest Gallery,
The Yarra Valley Wine Region is world famous. Here we visit Hellen's Hill, cellar door, for some amazing cheese and wine tasting. Finally we visit the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, a chocolate factory, with an amazing variety of chocolate. Make sure you try the free samples at the door.

Small video tour to Yarra Ranges in Victoria state of Australia. You can see small nice view from trail on old rainforest that more than 300 years old. Also we visited Cement Creek next to it and La La Fall with small fall but nice clean water. We have found Exhausted lizard and Fighting ants. Great place to visit in Australia!

Также мы посетили Ручей Цемент ( неизвестно почему называется именно так,может потому что очень холодный ) и Водопад Ла ла фол с чистой водой. Мы нашли истощенную ящерицу и дерущихся муравьем. В общем ,отличное место если вы посещаете Австралию!
Warburton Redwood Forest, Victoria, Australia - A Day Trip From Melbourne
About one and half hours drive from Melbourne is the Warburton Redwood Forest at Cement Creek. It is one of two Redwood, or Sequoia, Forests in Australia. Both are within 3 hours drive of Melbourne however this one is the closest. This plantation of redwoods is to the east of Melbourne in the beautiful Yarra Ranges - the source of the Yarra River - and just a few kilometres outside of the lovely little town of Warburton.
The redwood forest is an easy day trip from Melbourne. Families will love running between the giant trees and checking out the huge bird nests. Apparently it has become a thing to twist branches into giant nests. There couldn't really be birds here this size could there? :)
Mount Donna Buang isn't far away and is the closest snow play area to Melbourne.
