Shinjuku Electronics Shopping Area | Yodobashi & MapCamera Tokyo
This is Shinjuku's Electronic Area - the West Exit known as Nishi Guchi and home to Yodobashi Camera, opened in 1975 and Mapcamera, the famous Japanese used camera shop known by many camera otaku. In this epiosde, we'll go around the area and discover this island of shops that is vibrant when the sun goes down.
John's advice: this area is sometimes under appreciated because Golden Gai and Kabukicho draw the most tourists.
I def think you should walk through here at night - a different vibe, more office workers and of course the famous neon of Yodobashi - gorgeous after is just rains.
Where is this?
Yodobashi Camera (Shinjuku Nishiguchi)
Yodobashi Camera Co.,Ltd. (ヨドバシカメラ) is a chain store mainly selling electronic products. Currently, there are 20 stores in Japan. It also maintains two online stores in China; one with a limited selection of products from its Japanese online store through SBI VeriTrans that supports payments by UnionPay, and another it operates itself that does not but has a selection more closely matching its Japanese store.
The store's theme song is a bouncy cover of The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Audio section in Yodobashi - Shinjuku West Store
Audio section in Yodobashi Shinjuku West, Tokyo, is an audiophile heaven! Seriously amazing. At least 20 different amps, decks (20+ Each) and speakers (more than 60 pairs) PROPERLY connected to the switcher, and can be toggled at a whim. A/B heaven. Should drop by if you're in the area.

I ended up getting a web cam for my new PC and looking around.
A few of you have always asked me to show the inside of a store...so here ya go !
Oh ya... found a Hooters in Shinjuku too!
Hope you enjoy and give a big THUMBS UP!

Speaker Section Walkthrough in Japan (Yodobashi Camera)
Snuck my GoPro [ in for a quick walk around. If you ever go to Tokyo and end up in Akihabara and have like 10 hours to kill. Yodobashi Camera is a 9 story building with more Headphones and speakers then you could ever imagine. They also have more puzzles, rice cookers and massage chairs then I thought one store could have.. Just saying.
