TABLE OF CONTENTS (some extra informations on all of the sights/experiences featured in the film):
0:15 - The Journey from Xingping to Kunming
We travelled by bus and train for pretty much a whole day. The views from the window were pretty stunning all the way.
0:41 - Yuantong Temple
The most famous Buddhist temple in Kunming.
0:58 - Green Lake Park
Also known as Cuihu Park, in the center of the city. A good place for locals' leisure activities such as street food, dancing, renting electric boats, yoga and art.
2:07 - Sleeper Train from Lijiang to Kunming
An 8 hour overnight train. It's comfortable enough.
2:40 - The Western Hills Park
In the western suburbs of Kunming lies Western Hills. They are also called 'Sleeping Buddha Hills'. From a distance, they have the appearance of a giant sleeping Buddha. From the top (which you can reach by cable car or hiking), you can get amazing views of Dianchi Lake.
3:18 - Lingxu Pavillion
The best view you can get of Kunming city and the Dianchi Lake.
3:40 - The Dragon Gate
There is a quote in China that says: If you do not visit Western Hills, you haven't visited Kunming; if you do not come to Dragon Gate, you haven't been to Western Hills. Dragon Gate is a stone carved Buddhist edifice. The stone paths, stone rooms, stone grottos, and stone Buddhist figures are all hand carved and makes for an amazing trek around the cliffside.

Mle Hotsprings Resort
Life, Death and Camera Lens
I stayed in bed until 8:30am and watch King of Hill and Trailer Park Boys shows off of the computer. I noticed that my feet were a bit better.. Great, so I am on the mend.. Just take it easy.. Yes after breakfast and an untranslatable conversation with two total strangers.. (2 elderly Chinese women). I met Chad and we went for a great walk, took some photos and drink a mid morning beer in the sun near the lake. We talked about life, death and good camera lens.. Great morning...
Later around 9:30am I went for a hot springs soak in a rather secluded spring feed pool. There was a family of 5 there when I arrived. A husband, wife, daughter, sister and grandmother.. They smiled at me as I entered the hot spring water and reacted to the sudden change in temperature... The pool spas surrounded by flowering trees..(perhaps Jasmine flowers), there was a drain on water pouring into the pool.. After awhile the family left and I had the pool alone for half an hour or so. I did not need much more than that.. I felt great really relaxed and smooth all over.
On the way back to my room I stopped and talk with the attendants in the foot car area about getting a foot massage.. Ok, talk is a loose term.. They spoke NO English.. Three young girls pointing at the Chinese only price lists and explaining in Chinese. I all the time asking for information in English.. Finally, they indicated that the massage center was not open. So whomping asked when, the young girl, in frustration just walked over to the wall clack and jump up to touch the 11. Ok I got it.. It opens at 11am...
So around 11:39am I had my 90 minute foot bath, shoulder and foot massage. The young girl was very good.. She was also very strong and it hurt like hell.. But it was a heavenly hell!!! Totally enjoyed the whole experience. It costs 88Y. Cheap..
And the way back to my room I met the rest of the group and we when for a fantastic dinner at a restaurant. A very unique setting. The restaurant was more like a campsite. It had a main building a central yard/park. The park was surrounded by private dinning rooms. The main kitchen was open to the air on two sides... The food was good and the service wonderful.
In the after noon Ella and I when for a long walk in the town. Ella wanted sun glasses and a too and I wanted a comb. Forget it.. Each small store sold the exact same things.. I mean the exact same things.. It was weird.. Any way we returned and hey everyone went back to the same restaurant and had another great meal.. We had some local wine with dinner. The red wine was sweet and full bodied. It also had an unusual flavor..
That evening back to the same hot springs pool but this nattily with Ella and Leslie. This time the pools was busy but still nice.. Later Ella and I when back ND had full massage. 90 minutes of massage. We had our own private room and our own therapist.
Bottom line... My feet are 95% better.. Just the rest, hot springs and massage did the trick.

Yoga and Adventure travel in Mongolia
Mongolia is renowned for its fascinating history and often coined for its tales of Genghis Khan. This enchanting country is located between Russia and China. Its distinct natural beauty is evident in the endless steppe, lush forest, mesmerising desert, snow caped mountains and freshwater lakes spread across its twenty one provinces. Mongolia is one of the few countries in the world that has preserved its ancient culture and this is evident in the twenty ethnic groups that reside all over the country. The majority of land is still owned by the government which means there are no private properties or fences after you leave the city. Once you enter the countryside you are free to explore and camp anywhere you please.
Mongolians has been living in nomadic lifestyle hundreds of years in harmony with Mother earth Father sky. Life in the day of a nomad is simple and beautiful. Children chop wood and help around the house and then play outside, the men herd cattle out in the open fields and the women cook and look after the family.
