The panda research center in Wolong Ya'an was right about this. Nothing is perfect, the world is not perfect. In reality, nobody is being born in this world can escape old age, sickness and death. It doesn't matter if you make an insignificant or a serious mistake that caused suffering of others, when you are wrong make things right by telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and sincerely ask for forgiveness (apologize) and repent (turn from our sins way). That's all we are asking to make this world a better place.
However, the Zhengzhou zoo have not shown an ounce of compassion and regret towards my death. Instead of confess up and admit they made a terrible mistake, the Zhengzhou zoo display their sheer arrogance and ignorance, continuing to make excuses no matter how dumb or embarrassing.
For the humans that grief for me and share my pain, please do not give up! Although you can't turn back the clock and wish it does not happen, you can continue to speak out for me and seeking the truth till justice is being served. So that my death will not be in vain, and that it saves the rest of my fellow pandas and future born pandas.
Lastly, please light a candle and say a prayer for me!

Please help us to prevent another tragedy from happening again by making two appeals to both Panda Research Center and Zhengzhou Zoo:
1) To relocate giant panda Long Sheng, the remaining panda at Zhengzhou Zoo to elsewhere, and
2) To investigate the cause of Jin Yi's death and reprimand persons responsible.
Please contact CCRCGP or SFA to make the appeals, and/or spread the words around the internet so that the world can know about the animal cruelty of Zhengzhou Zoo.

China's Zhengzhou Zoo Forced Giant Panda To Take Photos Outside on the Hot Summer
To Whom It May Concern,
We are writing to ask for your help to push China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) and State Forestry Administration (SFA) of China to investigate in the cause of death of Jin Yi, a 6-year-old female giant panda, who died in Zhengzhou Zoo on February 9, 2014, help another panda Long Sheng in the same zoo to return to Sichuan and review the whole panda lease system if Zhengzhou Zoo is proved to have maltreated them.
Two pandas named Jin Yi and Wen Yu were leased to Zhengzhou Zoo by CCRCGP in March 2011 on a three-year contract, but in 2013, Wen Yu, who was a very healthy young female in Sichuan, was sent back to Sichuan due to poor health and Long Sheng went to Zhengzhou in replacement in July 2013. On February 12, 2014, visitors to the Zoo could not find Jin Yi and told news reporter, who got the answer from Zhengzhou Zoo that the panda was sent back to Sichuan because she was rutting. Later, it was found a lie because Jin Yi's death on February 9, 2014 was confirmed by CCRCGP. She was found to refuse eating at about noon of February 7 and died of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis after massive blood loss resulting in organ failure on February 9.
So we had the question:
1. Why did Zhengzhou Zoo lie?
2. Did they give proper and timely medical treatment to Jin Yi?
Panda fans all over the world are shocked and so sad about Jin Yi's death. As days passed, more and more information is found about Jin Yi, which is totally heart breaking.
Online video and pictures showed that in 2011 and 2012, Zoo keepers forced Jin Yi and Wen Yu to sit on a small platform to take photos with visitors to make money for the Zoo even in the summer, disregarding the risk of their getting sunstroke.
The breeder from Sichuan said that the bamboo supply of the Zoo was insufficient and often not fresh, and he complained that he had no say in the zoo. It was observed by local panda fans that pandas there had to eat panda cake as main diet. However, it is common sense that pandas eating too much panda cake will have loose bowels.
Observed by the breeder, Jin Yi weighed 90KG in 2013 and just 70KG when she died, which is absolutely an abnormal figure for an adult panda.
The Zoo installed a camera to monitor the status of pandas, but when the news reporter asked the Zoo to show the records how Jin Yi died, the Zoo said it was real-time and they did not save any record in the computer. Jin Yi's remains were also cremated with just a sample sent to Changchun, leaving questions to us.
Zhengzhou Zoo told news reporters that they were never involved in management of the pandas and they had no responsibility for Jin Yi's death, regardless the fact that they used pandas to make money.
Besides, video can be found online that Zhengzhou Zoo keepers whipped a sea lion because it did not cooperate to take photos with a visitor. A giraffe also died days ago in Zhengzhou Zoo.
As the owner of Jin Yi with their own breeder in Zhengzhou, it is impossible for CCRCGP to know nothing about Jin Yi's status, but they allow Jin Yi to stay there for three years and sent Long Sheng to Zhengzhou to replace Wen Yu. Days have passed since Jin Yi's death and many newspapers in China have published articles with complaints and questions. CCRCGP and SFA, which is the higher authority of the former, still keep silent. So we are writing to ask for your help to write to CCRCGP and SFA to push them to investigate in this matter. If Zhengzhou Zoo failed to take good care of our pandas and other animals, we sincerely hope CCRCGP and SFA can punish Zhengzhou Zoo accordingly, let Long Sheng return home, disqualify Zhengzhou Zoo and review the whole animal lease system and even the zoo inspection system.

China Zhengzhou Zoo Pokes Giant Panda with a Stick Forcing to Take Photos with Visitor
On behalf of many animal lovers around the world, we would like to seek your assistance in a joint effort to rescue Giant Panda Long Sheng from Zhengzhou Zoo in China that has known to starve, whip, and neglect pandas and other animals at their exhibits.
Earlier this month, a seven-year-old female giant panda named Jin Yi died from internal bleeding. During Jin Yi's nearly three-year stay at Zhengzhou Zoo, the giant panda was not only starved but also forced to take photos with visitors in the summer heat outdoor. Her enclosure was damp, dirty, and smelly. When the zoo was asked by news reporters regarding Jin Yi's whereabouts after visitors first noticed Jin Yi was missing, Zhengzhou Zoo's spokesperson claimed Jin Yi had already returned to Panda Research Center in Sichuan. This claim later was found to be a lie as Jin Yi had already died by then.

Capuchin monkey cracks tempered glass with stone at Zhengzhou zoo
A capuchin monkey was caught using a stone to smash the enclosure's glass at central China's Zhengzhou zoo on August 20.
The video shows the monkey picking up a stone and smacking it against the enclosure's glass window.
However, the tempered glass suddenly shattered when the monkey struck it for a second time, scaring the primate away.
According to a visitor, the monkey rubbed the stone on the ground for a while before using it to break the glass.
The zoo has cleared all stones up from the monkey's enclosure, reports said.

However, she was found to be beaten seriously if she rejected to shot the pictures with visitors.

There are two sides of story. CCRCGP can make all the excuses in the world but it doesn't change the fact that the pandas are gone. Nothing has been done to save these pandas. The zoos were not charged or reprimanded and they continue to bring in more pandas.
It's ironic that CCRCGP is trying to pass themselves off as some sort of lily-white saint. Before Jin Yi's death at Zhengzhou zoo, there is another panda named Long Ku died of food poisoning, Jin Yi's younger sister Wen Yu has fallen so sick she was sent back to Wolong panda research center for medical treatment, the allegations against zoo staffs of abuse which includes the former aging panda resident Lei Lei. The executives and leader of the panda research center, CCRCGP and SFA did very little to help the pandas. After the overwhelming public outcry concerning panda Lei Lei, only then they relocated her to the panda Old Folks Home in Fuzhou to live out her life. Recent photos taken at the panda nursery at Fuzhou show a healthy and a happy Lei Lei. Lei Lei has a lucky escape, Long Ku and Jin Yi are not so fortunate. There are so much more allegations of abuse/death of panda like Yong Ba at Shenzhen zoo, Lan Bao and Lan Zai at Lanzhou zoo and etc. We fear for the life of those pandas that are still living in the zoos within China. I hope you share our concerns.
