Bikepacking France - SUMMER cycling on the French Riviera WOW!
In this episode, we leave tropical Thailand for the summer cycle touring in Europe. We land in Nice, France, where the weather is HOT and the water is cold. The hills are big and the towns are old, all with names we can’t pronounce.
During our first week, we travel from the Mediterranean coast of Nice to the small country town of Uzès to visit our dear friend and her beautiful family to lap up some true French hospitality. Join us on our new adventures in this romantically cycling mecca.

South of France Hiking - Calanques Port Pin and d'En-Vau
Probably the most popular and most accessible hike in the Calanques region, visiting the two closest inlets to Cassis. The first at Port Pin is relatively easy for non-hikers and families with small children. The second inlet at d'En-Vau is a bit more work with a slippery, rocky trail. Both very beautiful and give you a good taste of the region.
Details for the hike here:
We did this hike late April 2018.

French Divide - modern pilgrimage with a gravel bike
[EN] Many cyclists no longer recognize themselves in traditional cycling events and many ultra long-distance and fully autonomous mountain bike races are born all over Europe, such as the French Divide. Riders rush for more than 2200 km of bikepacking in 15 days maximum, without assistance on the most beautiful roads of gravel and VTT of France following largely the mythical road of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle (St James the Great).
A return to the roots, searching for adventure from the Franco-Belgian border to the Franco-Spanish border. Jorne participated in the third edition of the race and was the eighth rider to finish in South France on 15 August 2018 in 11 days .
