Abernyte is a small village in Perth and Kinross in Scotland. The village lies roughly 2 miles northwest of the former Inchture railway station, and around 7 miles west of Dundee. The village has a heritage organisation, the Abernyte Heritage Group, which was formed in 1988. The group was formed by a mixture of longstanding residents and more recent arrivals to Abernyte and was part of a drive to maintain and celebrate the village's distinct local identity. 2. Glamis Castle Glamis
Glamis Castle is situated beside the village of Glamis in Angus, Scotland. It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and is open to the public. Glamis Castle has been the home of the Lyon family since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. Glamis was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, wife of King George VI. Their second daughter, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was born there. The castle is protected as a category A listed building, and the grounds are included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, the national listing of significant gardens.

Blair Atholl is a village in Perthshire, Scotland, built about the confluence of the Rivers Tilt and Garry in one of the few areas of flat land in the midst of the Grampian Mountains. The Gaelic place-name Blair, from blàr, 'field, plain', refers to this location. Atholl, which mean 'new Ireland', from the archaic Ath Fhodla is the name of the surrounding district. On 13 March 2008, it was announced that Blair Atholl would be included in the Cairngorms National Park. This change was made at the request of the people of the town. The town is bypassed by the A9 and has a railway station on the Highland Main Line. The main road north from Perth to Inverness ran through the village until it was bypassed in 1984.

2019 Classic Cars Drive It Day Perth Airport Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland travel video of classic and vintage cars leaving Perth Airport by Scone on 2019 Drive It Day from Blairgowrie, Perthshire. The event started from Blairgowrie Golf Club through Blairgowrie prior to heading towards Abernyte and Rait and driving over Dalreichmoor towards Balbeggie and Scone to Perth Airport. The afternoon drive was through scenic parts of the Angus Glens, Glenshee and over Moulin Moor to Pitlochry for High Tea in the Atholl Palace Hotel. Every year Drive It Day is purposefully held on the Sunday nearest to the 23rd April. Because it commemorates the 64 cars that left London on the first day of the Thousand Mile Trial on 23 April 1900.

April Drive From Birnam To Stanley Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland April video of a cloudy late afternoon drive South on the A9 Road from Birnam to the road to Stanley, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. Lots of traffic on the road today really slowed things down. The section of the A9 road between Perth and Inverness in the Highlands is often cited as beingtthe most dangerous section of the road, and regularly appears in lists of Scotland's most dangerous roads. This portion of the road is mostly dual carriageway from Perth to Luncarty, Bankfoot to Birnam, Pitlochry to Killiecrankie, south of Drumochter Summit, Slochd Summit to Tomatin and south of Inverness as well as shorter three lane overtaking sections to reduce frustration and accidents. All the towns on this section of the route have now been bypassed.
