Jalpaiguri is a city in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the largest city and the headquarters of the Jalpaiguri district as well as of the Jalpaiguri division of West Bengal, covering the jurisdiction of the five districts of North Bengal.
The city is located on the banks of the Teesta River which is the second largest river in West Bengal after the Ganges, on the foothills of the Himalayas. The city is the home to the circuit bench of the Kolkata High Court, the other seat being at Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Jalpaiguri features the JGEC Deemed University, the second campus of the University of North Bengal, the newly built Jalpaiguri Medical College and the Biswa Bangla Krirangan/ Jalpaiguri Sports Village

Jaldapara National Park is a national park situated at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Alipurduar District of northern West Bengal and on the banks of the Torsa River.
9.Sevoke Kali Mandir
Sevoke Kali Mandir is located near Coronation Bridge near Siliguri, midway to Kalimpong. It is about 23 KMs from Siliguri town. Sevoke Kali Temple is very close to banks of river Teesta and has lush greenery all round. Temple is visited both by pilgrims from far off places as well as tourists and provides amazing view of mount Kanchenjunga from here as well.
10.Coronation Bridge
The Coronation Bridge, also known as the Sevoke Bridge, in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India, spans across the Teesta River, connecting the districts of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri. National Highway 31 runs across it.

Jayanti is a small forest village within Buxa Tiger Reserve in Alipurduar district of West Bengal, India. It is located along the Jayanti River, forming a natural border with the Bhutan hills. It is popular with hikers for its beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and wild fountains. The 13 km trek from Buxaduar to Jayanti is especially popular, passing through the dense forest of the Buxa Tiger Reserve.
Jayanti also features a stalactite cave known as the Mahakal cave.
The nearest railway station is Rajabhatkhawa on the New Jalpaiguri-Alipurduar-Samuktala Road Line.

The palace also has an exquisite collection of Western sculpture and Victorian furniture. The mansion has a grand portico with stucco work and six Tuscan columns and the ground floor and first floor each have 14 Corinthian columns.

This is a small description of our trip to Pokhari lake which is in Jayanti, Buxa tiger reserve, West bengal, India.
Pokhri – This sacred and holy Lake on the top of Pokhri hill at a distance of about 4 Km from Jayanti river is a must-visit destination of Jayanti (Dooars). To reach Pokhri one has to trek the distance partly through forested hills and partly through previously used roads within the forest. The whole trek is quite a joyful experience and provides a scope to come so close to nature. People visiting Jayanti hardly misses a chance to visit the Pokhri pond. The beauty of the surroundings is certainly something which has a refreshing effect.

Alipurduar is a district in West Bengal. It is near about 682 km from Kolkata. Place is very attractive to travellers for it's own beauty. Various types of orchid are main attraction of this place. Rather than that Jayanti river, hill top villages, Buxa tiger reserve, Buxa fort attracts people to come.
