Almora is A famous city of uttrakhand. This is the the famous district of Kumaon. almora situated at a distance of 365 kilometers from Delhi and 415 km from Dehradun. Almora with a population of about 50,000 is spread over an area of 11 sq. Km. Kosi and Suyal rivers flow in the city from below the city.
This town with cold climate for tourists is very special and unique. Surrounded by the culture of Kumaon, this city is also very important, here is the Naina Devi Temple which is very special in the middle of Almora's main market. It is said that the temple is hundreds of years old and the idols here are worth looking at the walls.
The Almora market is located in the heart of the city, where all the necessary items can be obtained in large quantities. From the hospital around the market, the bank and the necessary facilities are also in abundance. City shopping malls and huge mega-mart can be purchased at one place, which is very comfortable to local residents.
उत्तराखण्ड राज्य के कुमाऊँ मंडल का यह शहर दिल्ली से 365 किलोमीटर तो उत्तराखंड की राजधानी देहरादून से 415 किमी की दूरी पर बसा हुआ है. लगभग 50,000 जनसंख्या वाला अल्मोड़ा ११ वर्ग किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है। इस शहर में कोशी तथा सुयाल नदियां नगर के नीचे से होकर बहती हैं।
यहां का नैना देवी मंदिर बहुत खास है जो की अल्मोड़ा के मुख्य बाज़ार के बीच में पड़ता है. बताया जाता है कि यह मंदिर सैंकड़ों वर्ष पुराना है यहां की दीवारों पर रची गई मूर्तियां देखने लायक हैं।
शहर के बीचो बीच में अल्मोड़ा बाजार स्थित है, जहां सभी तरह के जरूरी सामान बड़ी मात्रा में प्राप्त किये जा सकते हैं. बाजार के आसपास अस्पताल से लेकर, बैंक और जरूरी सुविधायें भी बहुतायत में मौजूद हैं. शहर का सिटी माल और विशाल मेगा मार्ट में एक जगह पर भरपूर खरीदारी की जा सकती है जो यहां के लोकल निवासियों को काफी सूकून पहुचांती है.

KAUSANI || Baijnath Temple || Uttarakhand
Kausani is a small Hill town in the Bageshwar District of the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. The views from the Town is so beautiful, that once Mahatama Gandhi called the place Switzerland of India during his brief stay at the Town. The town is very peacefull and one can enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayas from almost any part of the Town.
The temperature is pleasant in the summer months and extremely cold in the winter seasons. One can do trekking in the various surroundings around Kausani. The panoramic view of the Nanda Devi Biosphere from a distance of 300 kms away is simply breathtaking.
Get around
Gandhi Ashram is the most sought after place by the tourists. This is the place where Mahatma Gandhi stayed briefly and written the 'Anashakti Yog'. The Ashram is situated on the upper part of the Town. Inside the Ashram, (Photography not allowed) consists of various pictures of the great leader in differenet phases of his life. The view of the Himalayas can be viewed from this Ashram also is quite splendid.
Baijnath Temple, situated around 20 kms north from Kausani Town and is a series of small / big temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Feeding the fishes just beside the temple is considered a ritual after offering your pujas.
If you have time in hour hand, half a day may be reserved for Rudradhari. It is 20 kms away from Kausani, and a unique experience of 1 Km trekking through the mountains and beautiful scenary to reach the century old Lord Shiva temple.

Ranikhet Hotels | Traveling to Uttrakhand | Weekend Trip From Delhi
I recently took a break from the work and went to Ranikhet for a short vacation. I feel, there is nothing called as ‘break’ in a Youtuber’s life. For an example, I was still shooting this vlog when I thought I was on a vacation and have taken a break from work. So, this vlog is more of a relaxing tone and not full of information regarding the destination. However, I have provided information about all the places I visited and stayed at. Here is a little bit about Ranikhet – a beautiful hill station in Uttrakhand, India.
Located at an elevation of 1829m above the sea level, Ranikhet also known as Queen’s Meadow is a place is a hill station in the Almora district of Uttrakhand, which you must visit when you are in a mood to just relax and spend time in a peaceful surrounding. This small hill station that was built up by British is surrounded with nature’s enviable beauty. How this place got its name has a tiny story related to it. It is said that a lovely Indian Queen visited this hilly area surrounded by Himalayas and got mesmerised with the natural beauty surrounding it. And hence the name Queen’s Meadow or Ranikhet came into existence. Every year, a number of tourists visit Ranikhet. Although, this hill station attracts tourists from all over India throughout the year, the best time to visit Ranikhet is summer if you love adventure, winter if you love snowfall, and Monsoon if you are a die-hard rain lover like me :)
I visited Ranikhet during the Monsoon time. Although, I travelled throughout the city, I chose to stay in Majkhali – a place 100 Kms away from Jim Corbett and just half an hour drive from Ranikhet. I loved my stay at Roseville Cottage. Indeed, it was a relaxing trip. The two caretakers at the cottage took very good care of me. The service, neatness, food, weather, everything was just perfect. I also tried Organic Uttrakhandi food at a restaurant called ‘The Pahadi’ restaurant on the way to Ranikhet.
Overall, it was an amazing experience.
