Nepal: Spellbinding and Scenic | Beautiful & Must Visit Places in Nepal |
Published Date: 11/11/2017
Hello My Friends!
Thank you for your love and feedback. I am very much inspired to serve different and beautiful editions of Nepal. Today, in this video I would like to present some must visit and extremely beautiful places of Nepal.
In one of my earlier videos about Geography of Nepal, I have explained how Nepal offers diverse landscapes from sub-tropical Terai to Alpine Himalayas.
Despite the comparatively small surface area, Nepal has one of the most diverse biological and natural aspects.
Terai, the plain land in the south has places like Chitwan, Bardiya , Lord Buddha’s place of Birth, Lumbini and beautiful religious and historical city. Terai is home to rare animals like one horned rhino, Bengal tiger, different birds.
Pahad, The middle hills has the most beautiful lakes, forests, valleys and amazing diversity. Beautiful cities like Pokhara, Kathmandu, Dhulikhel, offer beautiful outskirts like Nagarkot, Kakani, Fewa Lake, Rara, Begnas and many hill stations like Ghandruk, Poon Hill, Kalinchowk to name but few.
Himalayan region of Nepal is remote but mystic and offers spellbinding and mesmerizing sceneries. Heaven must not be different. You might have seen and heard many things about Nepal, but in reality it’s beyond your expectations.
Here are few places I would like to talk about! I am loving writing this, as I am personally blessed and I feel lucky to be the citizen of this beautiful country.
Pokhara is the one of the best cities for aero sports in the world. It’s around 200 Km away from Kathmandu. Beautiful and widespread Fewa lake awaits to welcome you at the entrance. Walking at the lake side in the evening and morning is amazing. There are other many places in Pokhara like Mahendra Cave, Davi’s Falls, Boudda Stupa, Sarangkot where you would love to be.
Now the Nagarkot:
Personally, I am never done visiting this place. I find it beautiful every time. Situated at the height of around 21 hundred meters from the sea level, it offers the spectacular view of Langtang region of the Himalaya. It offers the best sunrise and sunset view.
Dhulikhel:
30km southeast from Kathmandu, snowcapped mountains at its backdrop Dhulikhel offers just amazing view of natural beauty and untouched green hills.
Sagarmatha National Park:
Sagarmatha national park is the Highest National Park in the world. Sagarmatha is an exceptional area with dramatic mountains, glaciers and deep valleys, dominated by the Mount Everest. Several rare species of animals are found in the park. The presence of the Sherpas, with their unique culture and values, adds a mystic touch to this site.
Chitwan National Park
The first national park of Nepal, Chitwan National Park is one of the most visited places in Nepal. Rich in flora and fauna, the national park has 570 species of flowering plants, 30 species of large mammals, more than 400 birds’ species, 17 reptiles and 100 fish species as recorded by the UNESCO. Jungle Safari in the park can’t be compared to any other beautiful experiences.
Lumbini
The birth place of Lord Buddha, the Lumbini is developing as a Buddhist pilgrimage center. The center of religious pilgrimage for millions of Buddhists, Lumbini has diversity of natural heritages and peaceful aroma. One can feel the peace and tranquil of meditating enchants.
Bandipur
The queen of hills, Bandipur has natural beauty with its age-vintage taste intact. Through the historical path from Dumre Bazar, one climbs through pristine forest to reach Bandipur which is not frequently modified with the time. Naturally and culturally rich Bandipur is a place to visit. On the way to Pokhara from Kathmandu, Dumre lies almost at halfway from Kathmandu and Pokhara both.
Rara Lake
Rara is staged behind the curtains of thick pine and juniper forests at 2,990 m, walled by green hills from all sides. Heavenly Rara lake and surrounding mountains get the fragrance of charming local people and their culture. A walk around the lake watching out for a wild flower or a rare bird on the way can be a memory so beautiful to remember all the way throughout the life. 20 different species of mammals and 214 species of birds can be observed at the Rara National Park. Lake changes its color with the time throughout the day to spread its majestic effect on its beholder.
There are places like Gosaikunda, I have tried my level best to explain its beauty in one of the episodes of Edition Nepal, there are numerous other amazing places to talk about. I really wish to make videos on as many places as I can.....

The protected areas of Nepal cover mainly forested land and are located at various altitudes in the Terai, in the foothills of the Himalayas and in the mountains, thus encompassing a multitude of landscapes and preserving a vast biodiversity in the Palearctic and Indomalayan ecozones. Nepal covers 147,181 km2 (56,827 sq mi) in the central part of the Himalayas. Altitudes range from 67 m (220 ft) in the south-eastern Terai to 8,848 m (29,029 ft) at Sagarmatha within a short horizontal span. This extreme altitudinal gradient has resulted in 11 bio-climatic zones ranging from lower tropical below 500 m (1,600 ft) to nival above 5,000 m (16,000 ft) in the High Himalayas, encompassing nine terrestrial ecoregions with 36 vegetation types. Botanists recorded 1,120 species of non-flowering plants and 5,160 species of flowering plants. Nepal ranks 10th in terms of richest flowering plant diversity in Asia. Zoologists recorded 181 mammal species, 844 bird species, 100 reptile species, 43 amphibian species, 185 freshwater fish species, and 635 butterfly species. In recognition of the magnitude of biodiversity the Government of Nepal has established a network of 20 protected areas since 1973, consisting of ten national parks, three wildlife reserves, six conservation areas and one hunting reserve.
Additionally, nine Ramsar sites were declared between 1988 and 2008.

Chitwan National Park, Nepal-Episode 53 sd

Chitwan National Park Video Details
This episode takes place in Chitwan National Park, located in the Teri lowlands of Nepal. The adventure involves a package tour.
We booked as a group from Kathmandu, the capital. We opted for the $90 (4 day – 3 night) package that offered medium quality transport, which translates into a seat verses standing room only.
All transportation was included as well as upgrades at the welcome center. But meals were already included so what was there to upgrade?
On arrival at the Park Distribution Point we had to struggle through the high-pressure sales pitches even though our package was all-inclusive.
After lunch we visited a local village to observe the lifestyle, the animals and locals. Then a short river crossing to visit an elephant rescue center. Perhaps someone needed to rescue the girls not the elephants.
We spotted a rhino grazing on our way back to the guesthouse.
Next Day
The next day we took a river canoe ride downstream in search of some more wildlife. Our first discovery was a sleepy alligator. Do the locals know that this river is full of alligators? I guess the locals have to cross somewhere. I was happy to cross in the canoe.
Then it was time to get out and find some wildlife. Our first find was a bog full of aggressive rhinos.
After an afternoon of walking a cool shower was in order. An elephant shower that is.
Next Day
We set out on an elephant ride to find some more creatures. Rhinos were our main objective and plenty were at hand. Clearly size does count with rhinos. Better to view them from a nice big elephant than on foot. After a bumpy elephant day, entertainment was appreciated. We watched the locals dance and play drums.
The next day we set out early for the long bus ride back to Kathmandu.
