Udon Thani Nightlife - Samphan Thamit Alley - Isaan Road Trip
We're stopping off at Udon Thani (a much quieter alternative to Pattaya for nightlife) to soak up some of the nightlife after spending a few days living in the Isaan village. A much needed night out. We check out some bars on Samphan Thamit Alley plus a couple more places that aren't as easy to find. After that we're going back to living life Isaan style in Sakhon Nakhon, the final and furthest destination in our North East Thailand road trip.
I really enjoyed visiting Udon Thani for my first time and would highly recommend it as a destination for a short holiday. It has a similar feel to some of the streets in Pattaya but is a little bit quieter and cheaper. My hotel had rooms from 500-600 baht per night.

Phakdi Chumphon Village near to my friends family home, they have a cottage type industry making Thai Noodles in their home.
Phakdi Chumphon is the western most district ( Amphoe ) of Chaiyaphum Province, northeastern Thailand. Tambon Ban Chiang, Wang Thong and Chao Thaong of Nong Bua Daeng district were separated to create the minor district ( King Amphoe ) Phakdi Chumphon on August 1, 1988. It was official upgraded to a full district on September 7, 1995. Neighbouring districts are
( from the north clockwise ) Nong Bua Daeng, Nong Bua Rawe and Thep Sathit of Chaiyaphum Province, and Wichian Buri, Bueng Sam Phan and Nong Phai of Phetchabun Province.
The district is sub divided into four sub districts ( Tambon ), which are further subdivided into 47 villages ( Muban ). There are no municipal

Amazing Thailand - Nakhon Pathom - Wat Phra Pathom Chedi (พระปฐมเจดีย์)
Wat Phra Pathom Chedi is located in the Nakhon Pathom . It's around 54 kilometers from Bangkok to Wat Phra Pathom Chedi.
Phra Pathommachedi or Phra Pathom Chedi (Thai: พระปฐมเจดีย์) is a stupa in Thailand. At 120.5 metres (395 ft) it is the second tallest stupa in the world after Jetavanaramaya in Sri Lanka.[1] The stupa is located in the Wat Phra Pathommachedi Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan (Thai: วัดพระปฐมเจดีย์ราชวรมหาวิหาร), a temple in the town center of Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
The name Phra Pathommachedi means the first holy stupa,[2] given by Mongkut. Originally the stupa named Phra Thom Chedi means the big stupa in ancient Khmer language or the royal stupa in Northern Thai language. One of the common misunderstandings about the stupa is Phra Pathommachedi is the oldest and the first stupa in Suvarnabhumi, an ancient name of Southeast Asia. Modern Historians believe that the stupa was one of the principal stupas of ancient Nakhon Pathom, the largest settlement of Dvaravati culture in Nakhon Pathom area together with the nearby Phra Pathonnachedi (Thai: พระประโทณเจดีย์) during the 6th to the 8th centuries.
