The Lounge area has a solid wooden floor, a wood burning stove set within a traditionally styled fire place and beautiful, solid oak beams. Double glass doors open out onto the south facing terrace and make the most of the open views.
The Dining Room sits to the front of the house and features the solid oak staircase rising to the first floor.
The first floor landing has a vaulted ceiling with exposed king beams. There are three double Bedrooms, one with Ensuite shower room, and a family Bathroom. The views from the bedrooms are amazing and you can see for miles over the forests of the Perigord Vert.
Externally there is nearly half an acre of lawn included with more land available to purchase if required. There are even two rows of established vines for you to grow your own grapes!
It is a short walk into the nearby village which has an excellent auberge restaurant. The popular market town of Piegut-Pluviers is just 10 minutes away, home to one of the largest weekly markets in the Perigord Vert every Wednesday morning. It also has a nice range of local shops, bars and restaurants along with a supermarket. The international airport at Limoges, with regular year round flights to and from a number of UK airports, can be reached in just 40 minutes.

The Palace of Versailles or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles in the Île-de-France region of France. In French, it is known as the Château de Versailles.When the château was built, Versailles was a country village; today, however, it is a wealthy suburb of Paris, some 20 kilometers southwest of the French capital. The court of Versailles was the center of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Ancien Régime. The earliest mention of the name of Versailles is in a document dated 1038, relating to the village of Versailles. In 1575, the seigneury of Versailles was bought by Albert de Gondi, a naturalized Florentine, who invited Louis XIII on several hunting trips in the forests surrounding Versailles. Pleased with the location, Louis ordered the construction of a hunting lodge in 1624. Eight years later, Louis obtained the seigneury of Versailles from the Gondi family and began to make enlargements to the château. This structure would become the core of the new palace.[1] Louis XIII's successor, Louis XIV, had it expanded into one of the largest palaces in the world.Following the Treaties of Nijmegen in 1678, he began to gradually move the court to Versailles. The court was officially established there on 6 May 1682.After the disgrace of Nicolas Fouquet in 1661, Louis confiscated Fouquet's estate and employed the talents of Le Vau, Le Nôtre, and Le Brun, who all had worked on Fouquet's grand château Vaux-le-Vicomte, for his building campaigns at Versailles and elsewhere. For Versailles, there were four distinct building campaigns. During the reign of Louis XV, Versailles underwent transformation,designed by Louis Le Vau and his assistant Monsieur Paul Chatal, but not on the scale that had been seen during the reign of Louis XIV. The first project in 1722 was the completion of the Salon d'Hercule. Significant among Louis XV's contributions to Versailles were the petit appartement du roi; the appartements de Mesdames, the appartement du dauphin, and the appartement de la dauphine on the ground floor; and the two private apartments of Louis XV—petit appartement du roi au deuxième étage (later transformed into the appartement de Madame du Barry) and the petit appartement du roi au troisième étage—on the second and third floors of the palace. The crowning achievements of Louis XV's reign were the construction of the Opéra and the Petit Trianon. Equally significant was the destruction of the Escalier des Ambassadeurs (Ambassadors' Stair), the only fitting approach to the State Apartments, which Louis XV undertook to make way for apartments for his daughters.The gardens remained largely unchanged from the time of Louis XIV; the completion of the Bassin de Neptune between 1738 and 1741 was the only important legacy Louis XV made to the gardens.[11] Towards the end of his reign, Louis XV, under the advice of Ange-Jacques Gabriel, began to remodel the courtyard facades of the palace. With the objective revetting the entrance of the palace with classical facades, Louis XV began a project that was continued during the reign of Louis XVI, but which did not see completion until the 20th century. Much of Louis XVI's contributions to Versailles were largely dictated by the unfinished projects left to him by his grandfather. Shortly after his ascension, Louis XVI ordered a complete replanting of the gardens with the intention of transforming the jardins français to an English-style garden, which had become popular during the late 18th century. In the palace, the library and the salon des jeux in the petit appartement du roi and the decoration of the petit appartement de la reine for Marie-Antoinette are among the finest examples of the style Louis XVI.

Bastides were a grid form of English town down in France long ago, a kind of fortification and also city management. Sanitation was easier to deal with when things were all squared off, like. The porches afforded some shelter in bad weather or from hot sun and all, and bourgeois families lived there and on the ground floor, under a porch which gave more space to the abode above also, had a big arch window from which they dealt their wares.
These houses usually had a tiny space between them where a real gutter system was set up. Kitchen sinks and all would expel neatly there and be collected in gutters. I just rented a house for a week at 24, rue Renan in Arles not far from Tarascon, and when it rained there the gutters filled right up and were super essential! The little street I stayed on for a week is cobblestoned and no cars are allowed of course, and in order for it to stay clean and clear, a basic system of drainage and good services by city cleaners are needed.
Tarascon is across the river from Beaucaire, its sister city. It is on the Rhône river near the Mediterranean sea, and there are huge castles here, a horse and bullfighting culture and rice production. Tarascon has a history of tolerance and acceptance of Jews, and as I entered the town from the castle of Le Roi René, I went down Jew Street.

Après avoir effectué l'un des meilleurs temps pour se qualifier à l'événement du Red Bull Crashed Ice de Québec, Sébastien Morissette sait offert une 14e position aux qualifications du vendredi. Pour ceux qui n'était pas présent sur place, avant la diffusion télé, Sébastien a réussi à compléter les deux premières manches en première position. Lors de l'étape de la demi-finale, Sébastien a malheureusement chuté dans le troisième virage avant la fin, mettant fin à son parcours.
