Visita alla grotta degli orsi a Chiscau (BH) Romania - EXTN-030_073

: La Grotta degli Orsi si trova nel dipartimento del Bihor in Romania, fu scoprta nel 1975 presso Chişcău nel comune di Pietroasa ed è conosciuta come “Peştera Urşilor” in lingua locale. La Grotta, oltre a presentare una straordinaria varietà di formazioni calcaree di differenti in dimensioni e forma, presenta un enorme quantitativo di fossili di Orso delle caverne (Ursus Spelaeus), una specie scomparsa più di 12.000 anni fa. L'entrata della grotta è situata a 482 m di altitudine è lunga circa mezzo chilometro. La grotta è famosa per la presenza di uno scheletro di orso delle caverne in connessione anatomica, nello stato cioè in cui si trovava al momento della morte senza che le ossa fossero dilaniate e sparpagliate da altri animali. Questo fa supporre infatti che una enorme frana abbia bloccato l'ingresso mentre molti orsi si trovavano in letargo all'interno della caverna, questi privati di cibo si sarebbero uccisi l'un l'altro fino a che l’ultimo morì di inedia lasciandoci così la testimonianza del proprio scheletro intatto. Fossili di Ursus Spelaeus infatti sono stati trovati in molte zone della caverna mostrando nelle ossa incisioni di denti d'orso.

The entrance is full of bear bones and it's called Bears galery.
After that we enter in the biggest hall.
There we can continue to Emil Racovita's galery or candles galery.
Inside the cave was discovered 140 skeletons of the bear, we can see in the video 1 skeleton.

Two Girls in Peștera Ursilor, Romania (the Bears Cave)

The Bears' Cave in Romanian: Peștera Urșilor, was discovered in 1975.
Bears' Cave is also significant because 140 cave bear skeletons were discovered on the site in 1983, and some are already instinct.
The cave is located in the western Apuseni Mountains, on the outskirts of Chişcău village, Bihor County, northwestern Romania.
