Loving Belize 1 - Tourist Advice, Corozal, Consejo, Sarteneja. - GoPro HD
Welcome to a new documentary series about Belize and the amazing, diverse, beautiful, people that live there.
Belize is a small country in Central America, please google the country. Recently there has been negative and distorted Media and few badly made documentaries which, because of the size of this country, has affected not only the tourism but also the lives of the people, by knocking they confidence down.
My name is Rose Robin, I will be making a documentary series in Belize for about one year. Giving you a look through the key hole. I will be interviewing people for all walks of life, but I will not make me own comments, I leave it to you to make up your own minds.
I will introduce you to many people, artists, musicians, dancers, fishermen, coconut oil makers, restaurant owners, divers, boat makers, politicians, and more. Not only will I interview them but I will also film them going their jobs, locals and expatriates. I will be filming locals cooking local recipes. I will be going out for 7 days with the local fishermen and documenting just where that delicious fish that the tourist are eating in the restaurants comes from.
Please take the time to like this video, if you do... and send it on to you buddies, the more people who see this video, the more it will make a difference to the people talking about their lives, views, hopes and dreams.

Corozol Free Zone - Belize
About 3 1/2 hours south of Playa del Carmen sits the beautiful City of Chetumal - the Captial of Quintana Roo. 10 mins south of that is the crossing into the Corozol Free Zone in Belize - just go over the Overpass and you are there ( under the Pass takes you to the new crossing into Belize - but that's another story.) We did this as a daytrip and to check Belize out - and it was a gas. We parked on the Mexican side and walked across the bridge. There is no real Border Customs crossing into Belize here - just a Mexican exit and reentry point. At a small booth by the bridge you surrender your visa ( the one you got on the plane or at the border entry point ) at a cost of 300 pesos - about $25. When you reenter on the other side of the bridge you receive a new one at no cost ( Most people aren't aware of the Visa cost as it is usually included in your air carriers ticket. As you can see there are numerous shops with many name brand products - like Gucci, Crocs, Chanel, Victoria Secret, etc - all at rock bottom prices. Also there are many famous and exotic outlets like - The Las Vegas Hotel, The Bellagio, Taj Mahal, Yang's, Genish - great deals at great prices - unless of course they are knockoffs ...naww However, liquor was quite cheap ( not all..you have to pick and choose ) and as tourists we were allowed to bring back 3 bottles each. My friend has permanent Mexican status as well as his Canadian and wasn't allowed to bring back booze without paying any duty. We also tried out the Casino - filled mainly with slot machines. The Zone is small enough that the small 'cabs' that abound cost 30 pesos for the three of us. We did wander up to the far end of the Zone to the border crossing into Belize itself to get a stamp on our passports but were discouraged by the Customs agent -unless we were planning on actually travelling further (it was suggested that this was because some people do this just to renew their Mexican visas after the maximum 180 day limit. Motorcycle ride.... next time.

- BELIZE
Belize is a great location to experience the Central American jungles and the Caribbean Sea.
Belize is located in Central America and it is bordered to the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala and to the east by the Caribbean Sea. We are a diverse country with various cultures and languages. We also have the lowest population density in Central America with 35 people per square mile or 14 people per square kilometer.
Belize is also known for its extreme biodiversity and distinctive ecosystems. On the coast, there is a swampy coastal plain with mangrove swamps. In the south and interior there are hills and low mountains. Most of our land is undeveloped and is forested with hardwoods. It is a part of the Mesoamerican biodiversity hotspot and it has many jungles, wildlife reserves, a large variety of different species of flora and fauna and the largest cave system in Central America. Some species of Belize's flora and fauna include the black orchid, the mahogany tree, the toucan and tapirs.
- CAYE CAULKER
We are in Caye Caulker, a small island off the coast of Belize.
“No shirt, No shoes….. No problem” is a very common sign for travelers walking around Belize. It reflects the overall atmosphere in the beautiful Caribbean island and the culture in Caye Caulker.
Indeed, everything is very relaxing in this travel paradise. But if you really want to experience the best of Belize, you should definitely go to Caye Caulker. We got to be there for some time and discovered the best of Belize. It made our trip complete.
Caye caulker is one of the best destinations to practices snorkeling and diving. The nearby reef provides a great scenario for travelers to explore and adventure.
One of the best things about Belize and Caye Caulker is the vast amount of thrilling activities around, but the overall calm and very relax environment in the towns and villages.
Belize has suffered a huge construction boom during recent years because of the amount of travelers and the increased interest of tourist to explore this island. Despite this, Belize has managed to balanced great hotels, and business development, with the overall peace and exotic feeling of the Island. For example, despite the amount of tourist and travelers around, you will only find a few traffic signs. Most of them are design to make the golf car user or cyclist to slow down. Caye Caulker is particularly interesting because it lacks the fumes and hassles related to cars. Indeed, if you travel to Caye Caulker, you won’t find any cars, instead, you will find fresh food, a beautiful reef, nature, and clear water.
Despite the rise on the number of new travelers Caye, Caulker, Belize, receives every year, the place still remains a small village. Most of the business you find are locally own, which guarantee a great and a very particular experience for anyone coming to visit.
Caye Caulker and Belize as a whole is a great place to visit if you are going to the Caribbean and want to experience what the traditional Caribbean town is really about.
How to get here?
Traveling to Belize shouldn’t be an issue. International carrier such as Continental, American, Delta and Taca have regular services to the Belize.
In order to arrive at Caye Caulker, you can take one of the flights provided by Tropic Air which flies from Belize International Airport. There are also services from San Pedro, Corozal, and Belize City Municipal Airstrip.
If flying is not your thing, Caye Caulker’s traditional commuting method os the water taxi. The boats can be taken from Belize City and San Pedro. The boats are very reliable and the trip is very affordable (average $25) It only takes around 30 minutes to come.
