Ecuador Road Trip - Driving from Cuenca to Guayaquil
The first leg of our road trip was driving from Cuenca to Guayaquil through the Cajas National Park, reaching over 13,500 feet in elevation, down to the coast in just a few hours! The Cuenca – Molleturo - Naranjal highway provides some breathtaking views of the Andes along the way and some great opportunities for aerial photography so of course I stopped along the way to fly the drone.

A country in the American continent ever attended by Carles darwin, ecuador is a representative democratic republic in northwestern South America, bordered by Colombia to the north, Peru to the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Ecuador also includes the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific, about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) west of the mainland.
Ecuador tourism has a wealth of natural and cultural area. The diversity of the four regions that have resulted in hundreds of thousands of species of flora and fauna. It has about 1,640 species of birds. Butterfly species 4,500 lines, 345 reptiles, 358 amphibians and 258 mammals, among others. Ecuador is considered as one of the 17 countries where the greatest biodiversity of the planet is concentrated, and is also the country with the largest biodiversity in the world with km2. Most of the flora and fauna living in 26 protected areas by the State. It also offers historical attractions such as Quito, food and a variety of cultures and traditions.
Ecuador is the country with the highest concentration of rivers per square kilometer in the world. In the area of Ecuador, including the Galapagos Islands 1000 km from the coast, biodiversity is the most populous on the planet.

LOS FRAILES BEACH: PARADISE AT THE ECUADORIAN COAST
Quilico visited one of the most paradisiacal coastal sceneries of continental Ecuador. It is Los Frailes beach, a corner full of life, with a landscape of xerophytic vegetation, which belongs to scrub and tropical dry forest, with unique characteristics, inviting us to travel in. Quilico can not ceases to marvel with this natural set.

All you need is... Olón! | Ruta del Spondylus, Ecuador
Olón is a laid back beach town on Ecuador's Ruta del Spondylus, just a few km north of Montañita. Olón is known for its long uninterrupted beach, perfect waves, and great offering of restaurants and hotels.
We stayed at Rincón de Olón, which is just a few blocks from the beach and offers comfortable suites and a great breakfast buffet.
We tried several restaurants in Olón and our best experience was at Rasimar, thanks to Chef Kathita Andrade.
