Oslo City - Norway's busiest passenger ferry line, Oslo - Nesoddtangen - Oslo Harbour - attractions

We are in Oslo Harbour in Oslo Norway. I am filming 3 of the boats which operate Norway´s busiest passenger ferry line between Oslo and Nesoddtangen. In the beginning of the filming you may notice that I am filming right next to the Norwegian Royal Yacht called Norge (Norway). We start by zooming in on the passenger ferry Dronningen (MS Tide Queen) which is busy making it´s way in to Oslo harbour at its mooring at Aker Brygge the fashionable Oslo Waterfront living and shopping area of the harbor. I then get a few closeup shots of Prinsen (MS Tide Prince) which is exactly the same kind of ferry as Dronningen and finally some footage of Kongen (MS Tide King) . These three passenger ferries can each carry 600 passengers and all three operate on the Oslo-Nesoddtangen route. Nesodden is a suburb that lies across the fjord of Oslo and this passenger ferry is apparently the quickest route between Oslo and Nesodden. The route between Aker Brygge - Nesoddtangen is called Line 601, and ferries bound for Nesodden depart from Tingvalla quay at Aker Brygge.

These ferries are all gas powered and where built by the French Ship Builder Aker Yards. Information about these passenger boats was difficult to find so if you know more about these passenger ferries please feel welcome to share your knowledge with us in the comments field.

Storfjord and Geiranger Fjord, Norwegian Fjords Cruise

This video is from our cruising at Storfjord (Great Fjord). and Geiranger Fjord on our way to Geiranger early in the morning June 4, 2013 at Vision of the Seas.
First part at Storfjord is shot at 04:30am and we did enter Geiranger fjord at 05:30am
Storfjorden or Storfjord is a 110-kilometre (68 mi) long fjord in the Sunnmøre region of Møre og Romsdal county in Norway. It stretches from the village of Hareid in the west to the villages of Tafjord and Geiranger in the east.
The Storfjorden system branches off into several smaller fjords including the famous Geirangerfjord and Tafjorden. At the village of Stranda, the main fjord branches off into the Sunnylvsfjorden Geirangerfjorden to the west and the Norddalsfjorden-Tafjorden to the east.
The Geiranger Fjord (Norwegian: Geirangerfjorden) is a fjord in the Sunnmøre region of Møre og Romsdal county in Norway. It is in the municipality of Stranda. It is a 15-kilometre (9.3 mi) long branch of the Storfjord (Great Fjord).
The small village of Geiranger is located at the end of the fjord where the Geirangelva (river) where the river flows into the fjord.The fjord is one of Norway's most visited tourist sites and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, jointly with Nærøyfjord, since 2005.
The two most notable waterfalls in the Geirangerfjord are the Seven Sisters and the Suitor (also called The Friar). Both falls face one another across the fjord, and the Suitor is said to be trying to woo the sisters opposite
The landscape around Storfjorden is typical for Western Norway. The mouth the fjord is surrounded by islands with mountains reaching 500 to 800 metres (1,600 to 2,600 ft) above sea level.
Further to the east there are higher mountains. At the villages of Tafjord and Geiranger,
the mountains climb to about 1,500 to 1,800 metres (4,900 to 5,900 ft) above sea level.

The historic place of the famous battle between the Jomsviking fleet from Denmark and Vendland against the norwegian leidang fleet, led by Haakon Jarl. The battle took place in western Norway in 986 AD.
