Harrow is a large suburban town in the London Borough of Harrow, northwest London, England. Harrow is centred 10.5 miles northwest of Charing Cross. Harrow was a municipal borough of Middlesex before its inclusion in Greater London in 1965. Harrow is home to a large Westminster polytechnic campus and its oldest secondary schools are Harrow School and Harrow High School.
Harrow-on-the-Hill includes the conservation area with a high proportion of listed buildings with a residential and institutional array of Georgian architecture and a few 17th century examples. Harrow gives its initial letters to a wider postcode area. The administrative offices of the borough are in the town which currently is made up of the Headstone North, Roxeth, Marlborough, Greenhill, Headstone South and West Harrow electoral wards.
Harrow historically included Harrow on the Hill, which sits on top of an outlying knoll and is contiguous with the centre of Harrow. Much of Kenton and before 1716 all of Pinner were parts of Harrow, geographical facts which root the importance of Harrow as a meeting place and a place of business. Harrow Weald, is the district north of Wealdstone, both of which were historically also part of Harrow. Harrow may also include the wards of Roxeth, Marlborough, Headstone North and Harrow on the Hill as well as the Greenhill, West Harrow and Headstone South wards listed above.

Loftus Road Stadium is a football stadium in Shepherd's Bush, London, which is home to Queens Park Rangers. In 1981, the ground of Loftus Road Stadium became the first stadium in British professional football to have an artificial pitch of Omniturf installed, which remained until 1988.
Rugby union team London Wasps shared the ground with QPR between 1996 and 2002 and Premier League football club Fulham shared Loftus Road Stadium from 2002 to 2004 while Craven Cottage was closed for reconstruction. Other users of the Loftus Road Stadium have included the Jamaican and Australian national football teams. In 1985, Barry McGuigan defeated Eusebio Pedroza for the World Boxing Association featherweight championship at the Loftus Road Stadium .
Loftus Road has a capacity of 18,439. The four stands are the Loftus Road End (often shortened to The Loft), Ellerslie Road Stand, South Africa Road Stand and the School End, the Upper Tier of which is used by away supporters who are allocated the lower tier only for cup matches. Loftus Road was home to professional rugby union team London Wasps from September 1996 to the end of the 2001–02 season, having moved from their home in Sudbury, Middlesex, as part of the deal in which Chris Wright took control of both Wasps and QPR.
There are several London Underground stations near the Loftus Road Stadium , the closest being White City, which is on the Central line, about five minutes walk away from the Loftus Road Stadium. A further two minutes walk away is Wood Lane on the Hammersmith & City line. Shepherd's Bush Market is also on the Hammersmith & City line.

Brooklands Miniature Railway After Closure Sept 2018
A short video taken on Thursday 27th September 2018 showing the Brooklands Miniature Railway at Brooklands Pleasure Park in Worthing, West Sussex. The miniature railway closed on Sunday 9th September 2018, with two “final” runs made on Sunday 23rd September for staff, family, friends and the local press. This video shows the un named loco (once in a different guise as “Diddly Dee”) with a set of three carriages being returned to the shed after the train had been parked outside the shed to enable two members of staff to work on the other set of three carriages, coupled to the other loco “Diddly Dum”. The stock and track will be removed from site from Monday 8th October 2018 and put into storage until a buyer is found. The miniature railway first opened in Easter 1965 as a 9 1/2 inch gauge end to end line but in 1967 was replaced with a 10 1/4 inch gauge railway and laid around the lake with a bridge over the Teville Stream. The miniature railway in it’s entirety has been put up for sale on eBay for £20,000 which includes just under a mile of track, two locomotives and six carriages (two sets of three). The Worthing Herald reported the final runs: “The miniature train at Brooklands Park completed its final journey on Sunday (September 23) as it prepares to make way for a new era. The train’s owner, Kevin McCluskey, cancelled his lease for the operation of attractions at Brooklands earlier this month after 11 years and, after the council opted not to keep the train, is looking to sell the family favourite. Stuart Coles, who has been friends with Kevin for 11 years and driven the train at the weekends for five, was at the wheel for its farewell. “There were a few tears from staff. Lynne, Kevin’s partner, and I were given the privilege to drive the last train rides ever,” he said. “I’m going to be a little lost at weekends now, because Brooklands has been like a second home to me for the last 11 years. “We had lots of good, fun times which I will treasure forever. It’s the end of an era.” Stuart said about 45 people turned up for the goodbye, meaning he had to do two trips. The council recently announced it will be revealing the ‘masterplan’ for the park at a public meeting on Thursday, October 11, at Worthing Town Hall”. Update: video of track removal now available on my channel.
