Skirmish paintball Skirmish Paintball is the largest paintball in the Country, they have over 700 acres of land divided up into fun sized playing fields including a 3 story castle, an airplane, a helicopter and many cargo containers.
Rafting down the Lehigh river is a very fun and scenic activity, there are a few different rafting companies in jim Thorpe that will take you down the beautiful jim Thorpe river with a few friends or in your personal kayak you will float down the scenic and exciting river with multiple trains running up the valley and many places to have a picnic lunch. The Francis E Walter reservoir upstream releases water that warms the river and also makes a lot of white water and clearance over rocks.
Biking the jim Thorpe area is a safe activity on the well maintained and you can bike for up to 4 days. There are combinations of train rides and biking that will make sure you have an action packed day
The Lehigh gorge scenic railroad is a great way to get up the Lehigh gorge. There are many different railroad cars to ride in such as an open air car with all windows open,and a traditional railway car and railroad cars that are themed in the olden days there are combinations of biking that can go along with your train ride. If you are lucky than you may even see the steam train.
A Scenic drive is a great free thing to do in the mountains of jim Thorpe you can see the jim thorpe monument, or drive up to the top of a mountain for a view
There are many Hiking trails in this area such as the 2220 mile Appalachian trail or the over 100 miles of riverside trail.
Okonoa falls are beautiful waterfalls located just 20 minutes from the glen okoa falls parking lot. The trail is very pretty and follows and crosses many small cascades. The trail starts off easy and gets very hard toward the falls .
Lake/reservoir the Francis E Walter reservoir is a very scenic lake and dam located near rt 476 .This reservoir has two very nice boat ramps for kayaks and power boats. The drive across the dam is a very scenic drive. This reservoir releases water for the Lehigh river and makes the river exciting and warm.
The Lehigh river makes for a great fishing area. With all the surrounding trails you are sure to find a spot that is just right for you.

GLEN ONOKO Falls Trail Hike PA What to Expect

in this video of the Glen Onoko Falls you will understand what to expect as you hike the trail. there is so many beautiful waterfalls on this trail that I wanted to give you a glimpse of what you will see and the best places to get completely drenched by them!! also what trail is best to take up and down.
For hiking this trail be sure to hike up the orange blazed path (falls straight up) then take the red blazes down a nice gentle path that loops back to the start.
Be sure to climb to the top its worth it and its fun. expect to take about 1.5 hours if you wanna go fast or if you wanna take your time and have fun put aside a good 4 hours because it will be worth it. I brought food because I cant go more than 2 hours without eating had a nice spot on a rock to eat along the trail.
This is a fun trail but as always be very careful we came across a hognose snake almost stepped on it!!

Fred Woods Trail Hike Video 2013. Follow John and Danielle as they hike the Fred Woods Trail which is located near Driftwood, Pennsylvania. The trail is 4.57 miles long and is an excellent trial for anyone to hike. The couple films portions of the trail and scenic views as they travel through young and old growth forests with large rock formations scattered throughout the trail.
