Tour of Amman, Jordan - Delicious JORDANIAN FOOD and Attractions!
Get more Amman travel tips, things to do, where to stay, and delicious food here:
On Day 3 of our trip to Jordan we stayed in Amman, and did lots of the major attractions in Amman, including the historical sites. We also explored downtown Amman, went to the local market, and at some more incredibly good food. Below is everything we did during this packed day of sightseeing in Amman.
1:10 - Shams El Balad Cafe - For breakfast we went to Shams El Balad Cafe, a very nice restaurant and cafe that specializes in local Jordanian food with a fresh and healthy, and also organic twist to it. The place itself is very nice, and sits on a hill overlooking the main downtown area of Amman. We ordered a variety of different food, including some manakish, which is a round of dough baked with toppings including cheese and herbs on top. I also really enjoyed the makdous, preserved eggplant stuffed with nuts, and a certain type of labneh with local herbs. Total price - 28 JD ($39.40) for 4 people
5:35 Amman Citadel - 3 JD ($4.22) - One of the most famous things to do in Amman is visit to Amman Citadel, which is the high point on the hill and formerly was one of the main areas of the city - the lookout and high place of Amman. Located at the Amman Citadel you’ll find layer upon layer of history, and can see all the different civilizations that have once called Amman home. I thought it was amazing, and I especially enjoyed the views of Amman from up there and the temple of Hercules.
7:38 Roman Amphitheater - 2 JD ($2.81) - Right down the hill from the Amman Citadel is the Roman Amphitheater, a stone theater carved into the side of the mountain. When we entered, there was a group of boys singing, and I decided to climb to the top for a view and I was amazing how the sound carried all the way to the top of the bleachers. An amazing historical site of visit.
8:54 Green Almonds and Downtown Amman - One of the best things to do in Amman in my opinion is to walk around downtown where all the action happens. There’s a big central market where you can buy just about anything you’re looking for, including a fresh wet market. When I visited Amman it happened to be almond season, and it was my first time to try green almonds. They were absolutely delicious, and tasted a bit like green apples.
13:01 Habibah Sweets - Probably one of the most famous things to eat in Amman is the kanefeh from a desserts spot in downtown called Habibah Sweets. There’s always a crowd of people standing outside waiting and eating kanafeh, which is a cheese based dessert. It’s pretty good, definitely a place you’ll need to visit in Amman if you enjoy food - especially for sweets. Price for 1 piece of kanafeh - 0.65 JD ($0.91)
14:22 Sufra Restaurant - For lunch we went to Sufra Restaurant, a very nice Jordanian food restaurant, located on Rainbow street. The food was excellent, but the main dish that really stood out to me was the Kofta bi tahini, a bed of minced meat, topped with potatoes and smothered in tahini sauce. Price - about 20 JD ($28.11) per person
19:50 Shawarma Reem and Amman Shawarma Street - Finally for dinner, we headed to what’s unofficially known as the shawarma street in Amman, where there’s about 8 different shawarma restaurants. One of the most famous is Shawarma Reem, for their beef and lamb shawarma - it was a perfect way to end the day.

Top 7 Countries in Asia!
Asia has been my home since 2013, when I moved to South Korea to teach English. Over the last 5 years, I've lived in Vietnam, the Philippines and currently Thailand -- and I've been to almost every country on the beautiful continent of Asia.
Each culture in Asia is very unique -- from religions to traditions, nature, history, cuisines and rituals -- and it provides endless opportunities to learn and discover. But above anything else, THE PEOPLE of Asia are the most hospitable and welcoming as they come.
Admittedly, it has been very hard to choose only 7 of my favorite Asian countries to feature in this video (because I truly love every place for a different reason) -- but when it all comes down to it, these would be my 7 favorite countries on this amazing place called Asia!
THE PHILIPPINES SOUTH KOREA, SINGAPORE, VIETNAM, NEPAL, INDONESIA, JAPAN
What would be your top 7 in Asia? Why? Please comment below and let's get the discussion started!
PS - I kept this video limited to East/South/Southeast Asian countries. While the Middle East and West/Central Asia are technically Asian countries, I consider them very culturally different. Iran and Tajikstan would be on this list if it was all of Asia!

JORDAN Travel Vlog | Jesus Was Baptized HERE (Jerash & Mt. Nebo)
We spent the last 2 days on a road trip through Jordan exploring some of the most fascinating historical sites this country is home to. We had no idea the amount of incredible sites we would see on this trip, including: the ancient city of Jarash (most well-preserved city outside of Italy), Jesus's baptism site on the Jordan river (where we were about 20 feet away from Israel), Mt. Nebo (where God showed Moses the Promised Land), and SO MUCH MORE. Of course lots of delicious Jordanian food was involved. We ended the day at the Dead Sea where we will float tomorrow. :)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Tatlong Pulo, Guimaras Island, Philippines w/ Travel Guide
BEST BEACH IN GUIMARAS
TRAVEL VLOG ! ! !
How to Get There:
1. From Iloilo City, take a public boat from Ortiz Port to Jordan Wharf. Take note that you have to go to Ortiz Wharf, and not in Parola Wharf. Boats from Parola Wharf are bound for Buenavista which is more far if your destination is Alubihod Beach or Tatlong Pulo. Fare is P14 per person and boats leave every 15 minutes. Travel time is 10-15 minutes.
2. Take a jeepney from Jordan Wharf to Alibhon Market. Fare is P13 per person. Travel time is 20-30 minutes. If you don't want to wait for the jeepney to fill up, you can hire a private tricycle for P300 per way from Jordan Wharf to take you directly to Tatlong Pulo.
3. From Alibhon Market, look for the terminal of tricycle or habal-habal where you can get a ride to Tatlong Pulo. Fare is P100-150 per person per way. Habal-habal can carry a maximum of 2 passengers while tricycle can carry 4-5 persons. Travel time is more or less one hour.
Where to Stay:
There are beach coves in Tatlong Pulo that are accessible through separate resorts. Two of the resorts I know are below.
1. Tatlong Pulo Beach Resort
This is the most popular resort in Tatlong Pulo where I visited. They have the best beach and view of the three islands I think. Unfortunately, electricity is not available in Tatlong Pulo. They have a few beach huts for rent and limited number of cottages for overnight stay.
Entrance fee - P100/person for day trip and P200/person for overnight stay. Cottage rental is P350 for day trip or overnight. (Rates as of August 2017)
