Gareth got his bike out on the 1st of April 2012 I decided to do a bike ride around West berkshire, total distance 38.6 miles.

The best way to see the country I reckon is by Mountain bike, you can make it as easy or as hard as you want. And never forget your camera you never know what you might see.

Paignton to Dartmouth Train & Ferry - Steam Railway & River Boat Company

Join us as we take the Steam Train from Paignton to Kingswear before boarding a ferry across the River Dart to Dartmouth with the Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company.

This picturesque journey departs from the popular seaside resort of Paignton in Devon. It makes it's way along the beautiful coastline and through the green countryside before it's final approach in to Kingswear along the banks of the River Dart. Here we disembark before boarding the passenger ferry across the water to the charming town of Dartmouth with it's quaint streets and historic buildings before finally repeating the journey in reverse back to Paignton.

21/06/2015 A Time-lapse Narrowboat Trip on the Oxford Canal - Lower Heyford to Heyford Common Lock

A time-lapse Narrowboat trip on the Oxford Canal. Starting in The Cleeves (a wooded area) near Lower Heyford, I head northwards and pass through Lower Heyford and Upper Heyford. On the way I have to operate a lift-bridge single handed, and go through Allens Lock. The trip finishes just below Heyford Common Lock.

20/10/2018 and A4 Pacific Union of South Africa and BR Class 47 47832 at Kettering Station with the Yorkshire Man Rail Tour. Happy with the shots and for the first time, some wheel spin featured as the train departed from Kettering Station. Kettering is a town in Northamptonshire, England, about 67 miles (108 km) north of London and 15 miles (24 km) northeast of Northampton, on the west side of the River Ise, a tributary of the River Nene. The name means the place (or territory) of Ketter's people (or kinsfolk). Also filmed some East Midlands Trains.

The city of York is world famous for its variety of visitor attractions and home to the National Railway Museum. We travel north via the Midland Main Line stopping at stations to pick up further passengers. Our train will be hauled between London and York A4 Pacific steam locomotive No. 60009 Union of South Africa.

Our train leaves London Ealing Broadway at around 06:25 hauled by “Union of South Africa” and travels around West London through Acton Wells and and Neasden South Junction. At Dudding Hill Junction we take the Brent curve and join the Midland Main Line (MML) near Cricklewood. We head north and stop at St. Albans, Luton, Bedford and Kettering, to pick up further passengers.

We leave the MML after Kettering and take the former Midland Railway Nottingham direct line. We pass through Corby Station, opened in 2009 to replace the original which was closed in 1966. We climb to the famous Harringworth Viaduct, the longest masonry viaduct in Britain. From the end of the viaduct there is a long, stiff climb up to Wing Tunnel and then it is downhill to Manton Junction, and through Rutland’s county town of Oakham.

We stop to pick up passengers at Melton Mowbray before we continue to Syston Junction and take the sharp right curve to join the MML from Leicester. We pass through Loughborough and join the Erewash Valley Line at Trent Junction. Our final boarding point for passengers is at Ilkeston. After Chesterfield we take the ‘old road’ to Rotherham and continue through Conisbrough to Doncaster. Here we join the East Coast Main Line and can expect a fast run to York, where we arrive in the early afternoon.

York is well known for its Minster, Castle and city walls. The Snickelways, famous medieval alleys and narrow streets, and The Shambles, are well worth exploring. The National Railway Museum, the many shops and museums, ensure that there is something on offer for everybody.

Our train leaves York at around 17:25 and returns to London Ealing Broadway diesel hauled. We stop at the same stations as on the outward journey, to set down passengers.

Normally I film engines in Wellingborough on the East Midland's main line, but went to Kettering as more of a viewing point.

4965 Rood Ashton Hall Has A Day Out .... At Last!! - (09/10/2018):

Despite a certain level of confusion about what Tyseley was actually sending out today & why..... all the clues were there and I decided that such a lovely day would be wasted by not going out to see 4965. Sure enough she was out on two lightly loaded test/training runs from Tyseley to/from Stratford On Avon so was not expected to be seen as hard working as on a the laden 'Shakespeare Expresss'' which have been sadly missed this year due to the re-organisation of Vintage Trains/Tyseley Steam Trust into a train operating company.

The Great Western Mainline: Bath Spa

Welcome back to another video from Spottersuk. Today we’re visiting Bath spa on the Great Western Mainline; we begin with the 16:07 GWR service to Weston-Super-Mare from Reading.

I really love Bath Spa as the station is really beautiful overlooking the city. You can also hear the Rugby stadium which I witnessed for the first time on Sunday. The station is located above the Main road, and if I’m honest adds to the Feeling as you can see all the way round the curve towards to Oldfield Park.

Sydney Gardens is also a Great place to visit whilst you’re train spotting in Bath as you can sit and relax in the gardens for hours watching trains come in and out with services to London, Bristol and also the West Country.

Bath Spa is also on the Wessex Line where GWR sprinter services go from Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour, but due to Engineering work the service were terminating at Bristol Parkway and Trowbridge.
