➨ Bienvenue dans notre série de VLOGS au Québec. Nous avons réalisé un road trip de 2 semaines qui nous a mené de Montréal à Québec en passant par Tadoussac, le Fjord de Saguenay, le lac Saint-Jean, la Mauricie et les Laurentides.

➨ On commence ce VLOG au pays des bleuets dans un ancien presbytère où nous avons passé la nuit et une très belle soirée autour du partage comme on les aime quand on est en voyage, à la découverte d'autres cultures parfois loin de nos habitudes.
Hébergement :
Le lendemain matin, c'est une autre culture que nous avons découverte, celle des nations autochtones, ou du moins touché du doigt grâce à la visite du musée amérindien de Mashteuiatsh, un village situé au bord du Lac Saint-Jean au nom imprononçable ou presque.
C'est accompagnés de notre guide autochtone Thomas Coom, que nous avons beaucoup appris sur le mode de vie des ilnus, la communauté native de la région du Lac Saint-Jean (et bien au-delà).
Une culture vraiment à part et une philosophie de vie, qui malheureusement se perd un peu de nos jours par manque de transmission, et que nous avons eu la chance de mieux appréhender grâce à notre guide passionné.
Musée améridien :
Sans transition, nous avons fini la journée au zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien qui se situe à 30 minutes de route de là. Nous ne sommes pas particulièrement fans des zoos mais là c'est un peu différent car ici ce sont les humains qui sont en cage !!!
Sur une grande partie du zoo, c'est à dire sur 485 ha, les animaux sont en 'liberté' et nous autres humains, nous nous baladons dans un mini-train grillagé au travers de ce parc où les animaux caractéristiques du Québec et du Canada cohabitent en pleine harmonie (sauf les loups évidement qui sont dans un énorme enclos). Mais la visite ne se limite pas à l'observation de la faune car on en apprend plus aussi sur l'exploitation des espaces naturels au CANADA au cours des siècles, d'abord par les autochtones puis par les colons français et anglais qui ont radicalement métamorphosé le territoire par leur nombre, la culture et l'élevage.
Bref, une belle visite qui met l'accent sur les conséquences de l'action de l'homme sur son environnement.
Une visite qui complète parfaitement celle du musée amérindien. On tient à souligner que ce zoo est à but non lucratif dans le sens où tout l'argent est réinvesti dans la préservation de la nature et des animaux.

Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit
Join us for this Canadian Rockies travel guide as we explore one of Canada's most beautiful places to visit. The big reason we took a road trip from Ontario to Alberta and British Columbia was to see the Rocky Mountains. For Audrey's parents, especially her Dad, it has been a dream to see this beautiful part of Canada for decades. With a chance to finally do it we were all thrilled to visit the Canadian Rockies together as a family with Togo the German Shepherd. The following is everywhere we visited in and around the Canadian Rockies including most of our time spent in Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia:
1) Getting our park passes at Banff National Park for the whole family
2) Exploring the town of Banff including hiking the Bow River Trail and the Banff Springs Hotel
3) Visiting the nearby town of Canmore to walk along Policeman’s Creek Boardwalk Trail
4) Visiting Cascade Ponds where Audrey's sister got married
5) Exploring Lake Minnewanka where you can hike, kayak or canoe
6) Driving through Kootenay Provincial Park
7) Hiking to visit the Paint Pots to visit the pools
8) Visiting the incredibly beautiful Lake Moraine
9) Visiting world famous Lake Louise

Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit Video Transcript:
Welcome to the Canadian Rockies! In the last video we showed you the 4-and-a-half day car journey from Ontario, but now it’s time to jump into the sightseeing.
We had 1 full week in the Rockies, splitting our time between both Alberta and British Columbia, and all of our days were spent hiking in woods, visiting the lakes, and just enjoying being surrounded by nature.
This was a family road trip with our trusty family dog Togo in tow, so we’re going to be sharing with you our adventure in what may well be the most beautiful part of Canada!
The Bow River trail is just a few steps from downtown Banff and it follows the riverside.
From there, we walked over to the Banff Springs Hotel. This historic hotel opened up in 1888 it’s one of Canada's grand railway hotels built by the Canadian Pacific Railway. We continued over to Canmore.
From there, we drove over to Lake Minnewanka, which has more of a bluer hue in comparison to the other turquoise and emerald lakes in the Rockies. Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake 21 kilometres in length, making it the 2nd longest lake in the Rockies. It’s a hub for water activity like boat cruises, kayaking, canoeing, and well, it’s beautiful.
Later that day we drove to Moraine Lake, which is another glacially fed lake. It has a brilliant blue-green colour due to light refracting off the rock sediments, and like most destinations in the Rockies, this one was another stunner.
The views from the shore of Lake Louise were nothing short of stunning, we had Victoria Glacier perfectly framed by mountains on either side, and then the brilliant glacial waters with dotted with red canoes.
Our final destination in the Rockies was Kananaskis Country where we visited Lower Kananaskis Lake and Upper Kananaskis Lake.
The real highlight was finally spotting some wildlife just as we were leaving for the day.
And that’s a wrap for our Rockies Road Trip! We still have lots left to see of our home country, but we can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Canada.

The Town of Banff was the first municipality to incorporate within a Canadian national park. It is a resort town and one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations, known for its mountainous surroundings and hot springs. It is a destination for outdoor sports and features extensive hiking, biking and skiing.
Lake Louise is a glacial lake within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. Fairmont's Chateau Lake Louise, one of Canada's grand railway hotels, is located on Lake Louise's eastern shore. It is a luxury resort hotel built in the early decades of the 20th century by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Johnston Creek is a tributary of the Bow River in Canada's Rocky Mountains. The creek is located in Banff National Park. A popular hiking trail follows the canyon and leads to a meadow within the Johnston Valley above the canyon. The first part of the trail consists of a constructed walkway with safety rails and bridges, while the last part of the trail is natural and more rugged.
I've had a great time visiting Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre in the vicinity of the town of Golden. This wolf sanctuary and it's instructors, armed with their wealth of knowledge, give the centre's visitors a true depiction of these majestic and reclusive creatures.
I've also had the pleasure of spending the night at the Mount 7 Lodges near golden BC. The hosts were splendid as well as the accommodation. The views...spectacular!
Unfortunately, the weather during the time of the shoot was less than perfect with extended periods of cloudiness and rain. However, even under those conditions, a visit is highly recommended!
