Goat Island Marine Reserve is about an hour drive from Auckland City and one of the most accessible marine reserves in New Zealand. This is the most unique kayaking in Auckland we’ve done.

With a seriously large amount of travel coming up to some dense urban metropolises such as LA, New York, Toronto and Tokyo; we realised our window of opportunity to visit Scotland was very slim before the days get colder and darker.
Embarrassingly, neither Elly or I had ever been to Scotland. Yet we've been all the way around the other side of the world to the far reaches of New Zealand... We wanted to change that and make the quick hop up from London to experience some of the best nature the UK has to offer.
Our 2-day road trip consisted of a loop from Edinburgh into the Highlands via Loch Lomond, to Loch Ness, Glenfinnan and the Isle of Skye, before journeying back towards Edinburgh. I wanted to make a travel vlog similar to how this channel used to look a couple of years ago, featuring more about the journey and our overall experience rather than a segment of a particular photography day. I really enjoyed making it and look forward to part 2 coming in the next few days!
P.S. A note on the drone footage quality: After reviewing the footage from this trip, I noticed a lot of the watercolour effect happening. I've since adjusted from -1 sharpening to +1 sharpening on my Mavic Pro in an attempt to disable to noise reduction algorithm causing the bad quality picture. Hopefully it's all good for the next time I use my drone!

THE GREATEST WILDLIFE DESTINATION ON EARTH!!! - South Georgia Vlog Pt 2
Don't forget to watch Part 1 of our vlog to see a different part of South Georgia Island.
After an incredible few days exploring the northern part of South Georgia in the Southern Ocean, we continued our journey onboard the Akademik Sergey Vavilov, operated by the legendary One Ocean Expeditions, to other parts of the island.
The best was yet to come, and soon we would be casting our eyes over beaches filled with over 100'000 king penguins, thousands of elephant seals and enormous colonies of fur seals. We would also have the chance to explore Drygalski Fjord, one of the most beautiful places on the planet and a destination very few ships ever enter due to the difficult navigation and narrow channels needed to pass.
It's really hard to put into words just how spectacular travelling to South Georgia in the subantarctic is. There's a reason it's known as the greatest wildlife show on earth and the Serengeti of the South Ocean. Even in bad weather it was a completely overwhelming experience to see this remote place with our own eyes.

Surprise Elopement with family reactions Wanaka, New Zealand
Highlights from our New Zealand Trip, December 17-31, 2015.
Steven came to me last January 2015 after listening to someone talking about elopements on a radio show. I've never pressured him into marriage or getting engaged, and I was completely fine with how our relationship was, and honestly, just thinking of having a wedding stressed me out. It was the last thing on my mind.
But we he came to me with the idea of eloping, I just thought how much that suited our relationship. It has always been him and I, since he was 16 and I was 18. We have been attached to the hip for 10 years. So, being the girl that I am, I immediately started to look for elopements on Instagram. I saw some beautiful locations in Colorado but then I came across these amazing pictures in New Zealand. I finally found the location where this crazy beautiful scenery was - Wanaka, NZ.
When I have my mind set on something, I am determined to get it. Steve and I agreed this would be the perfect place to go, and we could do a vacation, wedding and honeymoon all at once.
I contacted Minetta from The Wedding Company and we started to plan our big day or more like, Minetta started to plan. I picked out the wedding date, photographer and videographer and that was about it. There was zero stress involved. I found my dress used online about 75% cheaper than in the store and it fit perfectly! Since we were making this decision together I decided to pick out my own ring. If you’re going to spend a lot of money on something, it better be something you like! We decided that we weren't going to tell anyone. Steve likes to pull pranks on his family, so he was more excited about keeping this a secret more than anything. Myself on the other hand, it was extremely hard . I had to tell someone! I needed a girlfriend to talk to. I told my two friends, Holly and Jennifer. It kept me sane being able to talk to someone about this whole crazy idea we had.
My dad and I are extremely close. I wasn’t going to tell him but I really wanted Steve to ask him for my hand in marriage. Of course, my dad said yes but now I had to trust him to not tell anyone for 10 months. I definitely thought he would spill the beans to my mom but he didn’t. He kept his promise.
After our weddingmoon we were excited to get back to tell family and friends our big secret! Everyone’s reactions were priceless and everyone was happy for us! I couldn’t imagine any other way to be married to Steven. It was truly a fairy tale. Thank you for all the love and support!
