The Crown Inn Littleport

Littleport is the largest village by area in East Cambridgeshire, England. It lies about 6 miles north-east of Ely and 6 miles south-east of Welney, on the Bedford Level South section of the River Great Ouse, close to Burnt Fen and Mare Fen. There are two primary schools: Millfield Primary and Littleport Community School and one secondary school: Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy. The Littleport riots of 1816 were a factor in Parliament passing the Vagrancy Act of 1824.

Trinity Bay and hiking the Skerwink Trail #SplitTheRock

In New Bonaventure, we set out with Bruce Miller of Rugged Beauty Boat Tours to tour the coast around Trinity Bay, including resettled communities like Ireland's Eye and British Harbour. The tour was one of the most refreshingly honest tours I've ever experienced; Bruce is an opinionated fellow, and he's not afraid to be vocal about it. We even ended up at his cabin for a cup of tea and an Ugly Stick session.

Then: the hike around the Skerwink Trail, from Trinity. One of the best maintained and most beautiful trails I've seen in Newfoundland and Labrador.

A busy day in York. The bells of the York Minster are magnificent. (So is the lady on the pink scooter at the end of the video... lol!)

Rutland Round Walk- Great Casterton to Clipsham 14 March 2009

A 5.5 mile walk along the Rutland Round long distance footpath between Great Casterton and Clipsham via Pickworth. On reaching the village of Clipsham, I walked an additional 2 miles to the village of Castle Bytham in Lincolnshire in order to connect to the nearest bus service. The walk took place in fair, but windy, weather on Saturday 14 March 2009.
