Kimbolton is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England. Kimbolton lies approximately 9 miles west of Huntingdon and 14 miles north of Bedford. Kimbolton is situated within Huntingdonshire which is a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as being a historic county of England. The parish includes the hamlet of Stonely. Catherine of Aragon, after her divorce from Henry VIII, died at Kimbolton Castle in 1536.

Blenheim & Woodstock was a railway station constructed in the neoclassical style which served the town of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace in the English county of Oxfordshire. The station, as well as the line, was constructed by the Duke of Marlborough and was privately run until 1897 when it became part of the Great Western Railway. The number of trains serving the station was cut in the late 1930s, and again in 1952 down to only six trains a day. The last train ran on 27 February 1954 adorned with a wreath. HENRY VIII's CASTLES OF THE DOWNS | DEAL, WALMER AND SANDOWN CASTLES

I was joined by Candice for a trip down to Deal and Walmer on the Kent coast, not far from Dover. We had a small 5 mile walk along the coast there and visited all 3 of Henry VIII's Castles In The Downs, a chain of Tudor Gun Forts that ran for nearly 3 miles along this vulnerable section of beach. These castles were at Deal (the largest), Walmer (more residential now) and Sandown (sadly now ruinous and virtually disappeared).

Both Deal and Walmer castles are open to the public and owned by English Heritage, who we decided to join today! So that means free entry and parking to all their sites and more history videos!

Hampton Court Palace CCTV ghost Skeletor

On three consecutive days in winter 2003, Hampton Court Palace security staff were called to close one particular fire door near the palace's Clock Court (now in the Baroque Story exhibition).

On the first day, CCTV footage showed the doors flying wide open with great force but there was nothing to reveal why. On the second day, the same thing happened but this time a ghostly-looking figure in period dress suddenly appeared on the screen and closed the doors. The doors opened again on the third day but there was no further sign of the ghostly doorkeeper.

It wasn't just security staff who thought they were seeing things. A visitor wrote in the palace's visitor book on the second day that she too thought she had seen a ghost in that area.

This CCTV footage of the figure caught the attention of the world's media, with reports in newspapers and on TV and radio as far a field as India, Australia and Peru. This is where the nickname Skeletor came from.
