Six Flags Over Georgia is a 290-acre theme park located west of Atlanta in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. Featuring characters and themes from a variety of Warner Bros. properties such as Looney Tunes and DC Comics, the park opened to the public in 1967 as the second of three theme parks built by Six Flags. It features 11 roller coasters, including top-ranked Mind Bender and Goliath that have been recognized annually by Amusement Today, and over 30 other rides, shows, and attractions. Hurricane Harbor, a 7-acre water park included in the price of admission to the amusement park, was added in 2014.

Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge is an 829-acre Georgia state park located between Ellijay and Dahlonega in Dawsonville, Georgia. The park's name is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning tumbling waters. The park is home to Amicalola Falls, a 729-foot waterfall that is the highest in Georgia. However, an analysis conducted by the World Waterfall Data base suggests that the main part of the falls is 429 ft in height, followed by a prolonged gently sloping run in which the flow drops another 279 ft . It is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia. An 8-mile trail that winds past Amicalola Falls and leads to Springer Mountain, famous as the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, begins in the park. The Consolidated Mine was a gold mine in Lumpkin County, Georgia, United States, just east of Dahlonega. Like most of the area around Dahlonega, the placer mining on the land on which the mine is located probably started during the Georgia Gold Rush. By 1880, the placer deposits were exhausted and the land was down to hard rock. Gold was soon discovered in a huge quartz vein system, and mined. Description: Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys, is unchanged for as long as I can remember. It sits on a tiny bit of land right under the overseas highway bridge from the Atlantic and in a cove on the Gulf of Mexico. The feel of Robbie’s is true Keys flavor. There are cute hand-scribed signs everywhere telling you how to live the good life in the Keys. And, as always, you see lots of bight colors. There is nothing, I mean nothing, fancy about Robbie’s. Boats come and go, mostly smaller boats.
You can rent a flat boat, jet ski, kayak, wave runner or charter boat with a captain – but the main draw is the tarpons, large fish that look somewhat prehistoric to me. You pay $3.00 for a bucket of small fish, walk out on the pier and feed the tarpons. And the tarpons are huge, easily 4 feet long or longer. Don’t hang on to the fish though, tarpons are serious eaters. You can also pay $1 to walk on the pier and watch this fun spectacle. I have never been there when someone wasn’t feeding the tarpon.
