Luzerne County is a county in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 906 square miles , of which 890 square miles is land and 16 square miles is water. It is Northeastern Pennsylvania's second-largest county by total area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 320,918, making it the most populous county in the northeastern part of the state. The county seat and largest city is Wilkes-Barre. Other populous communities include Hazleton, Kingston, Nanticoke, and Pittston. Seven Tubs Recreation Area is a publicly accessible recreation area located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and owned by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Continuously flowing glacial meltwater gouged a line of smooth tubs in gritty sandstone over 12,000 years ago. The tubs are potholes formed by the flowing water. The site is part of a 537-acre recreation area in the Pennsylvania mountains about 4 miles south of downtown Wilkes-Barre. The site is popular among hikers for its easy accessibility and beginner-level hiking environment.

Ricketts Glen State Park is one of the most scenic areas in Pennsylvania. This large park is comprised of 13,050 acres in Luzerne, Sullivan, and Columbia counties.

Ricketts Glen harbors the Glens Natural Area -- a National Natural Landmark. Hike the Falls Trail System to explore the glens, which boasts a series of wild, free-flowing waterfalls, each cascading through rock-strewn clefts in this ancient hillside.

The 94-foot Ganoga Falls is the highest of 22 named waterfalls. Old growth timber and diverse wildlife add to the beauty.

Central PA trip to the Scranton area and back

Mostly a daytime drive north on I-81 and related roads through Central Pennsylvania to the Dunmore area of the Scranton region. Some driving around in Scranton and then back south again. This was filmed in July of 2014. No Audio. And nothing exciting, just drivin and scenery.

Seven Tubs Natural Area near Wilkes-Barre

Abandoned RR Bridge in Northeast, Pa

Abandoned railroad bridge in Northeast Pa is just rotting away. I tried to find the history of this bridge, but didn't have much luck. At one time it was part of the PRR and DL&W railroads.
