Mohe County is located in the northwest of Heilongjiang Province, the northern foothills of Greater Khingan Range, and the south bank of the upper reaches of the Heilongjiang River. The area of the county is 18 thousand square kilometers. Also, Mohe County and Russia are facing each other separated by Heilongjiang River, and the border line of the county is 242 kilometers long, known as the “Shenzhou Arctic”. In addition, Mohe County is a well-conserved mountainous place with high coverage and rich tourist resources. It is a natural summer resort and a forest oxygen bar with the average summer temperature about 19 degrees in summer. The winter is cold and has a snow period over 210 days; the unique “extreme north”, “extremely cold”, “polar night”, and rich ice and snow resources are great advantages stimulating ice and snow tourism industry. Besides, Mohe County is rich in products: blueberries, hedgehog hydnum, mushrooms, ganodorma lucidum, etc.; cold water fish in Heilongjiang River is well-known; gold mining of rouge gully has over a century-old history. The mysterious aurora, the vast forest, the splendid river scenery, wooden houses, and idyllic farmhouse make everyone have a deep longing for those beautiful landscapes. The treasure on the ground, rare birds in the sky, beasts in the mountains, mushrooms in the forests, and fancy carp in the river are waiting for tourists from all corners of the country.

A simple travel log to sum up my China trip. The cities visited are Shanghai(上海), Harbin(哈尔滨) and Mohe(漠河).
One of the interesting places for this trip is Mohe(漠河). It is a county of Heilongjiang province, and is the northernmost Chinese county. A village, the northernmost Chinese settlement, known as the Arctic Village (北极村) lies in this county, forms the border with Russia. It is one of the few places that you can view the astronomical phenomenon of aurora borealis in winter. Temperatures can get as low as -40°C in winter.

Hegang City is located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province and in the transition zone between Lesser Khingan Range and Sanjiang Plain. Also, Hegang City and Russian Judaic Autonomous Oblast are facing each other separated by Heilongjiang River. Yanjiang Park in Luobei port, Canaan Star City, and Heilongjiang Museum show historical and cultural features of China and Russia and witnessed the friendly exchanges and historical contacts among three major ethnic groups. Heilongjiang River, the boundary river between China and Russia, is one of the longest non-pollution boundary rivers, and it crosses Lesser Khingan Range. In addition, it is where the Siberian tiger entered China. Also, Hegang City got the title of “best landscape cultural tourist resort in China” and “the most promising tourist city in China”. There are several tourist attractions such as large rivers, huge forests, wetlands, agricultural resources, the three gorges in Longjiang River, ski resort in Fenghuang Mountain, Yulin Shooting Range, Ice Park in Lake Heli, and cross-border self-driving tour between Russia and China.

Heihe, one of China's excellent tourism cities, is located in the northern part of Heilongjiang Province, and Heilong Jiang (the Amur River) marks the border between the city and Blagoveshchensk, the capital of Amurskaya Oblast, Russia. Also, they are the only two cities with the largest size, the shortest distance, the highest level, and the most full-featured functions on Sino-Russia border line. Also, Heihe is a border city with Chinese and Russian atmosphere, vast land, rich resources, and a sound eco-system: volcano, mineral, river, forest, ice, and snow. In September, 1988, Heihe took the lead in the country launching “one-day tour between China and Russia”, and then opened a diamond journey in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, an eco-tour in Lake Baikal, cold water angling in Russia, rural experience, and cross-border journey. The six major tourist functional areas, three major ice and snow experience zones, and three tourism development zones are improving over time. Heihe has become the most beautiful sight on the 4,300 km Sino-Russia border line.
