Things to Do in Belfast - Belfast Tour - Belfast Attractions
For all those who are coming to Belfast soon and still didn't make a plan for the places they have to visit then this is the video for you because we have brought those hot spots of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and the things to do and the places to visit to try and help a little bit.
When you first arrive in Belfast - if you are coming by bus or train - you will arrive at the Europa station where you will be landing in the heart of Belfast and should then get ready for the different things you are going to do and see.
Just across the street from the famous Europa station, there is the oldest bar in Belfast city, the Crown Liquor Bar, so you could start your day with warming up with Guinness or you could even leave that part of the day to the end, to when you will come back to the same station to go back where you came from.
From the different interesting things to do in Belfast is to visit the Grand Opera House and attend any of the shows which might be taking place there. The Grand Opera House is on the other side of the street from the bar and there are always loads of shows there, so definitely go ahead with it and book yourself something to watch, you will definitely enjoy your time there and will find a different kind of thing to do in the evening.
So, getting done with the first part and which is all related to the landing location, there are still other places in Belfast which one should visit. One of the things that are considered a must to visit in this city is Belfast City Hall which was built in the very late 1800 and which we consider a really different kind of building. For those who are willing to visit Belfast City Hall - which we believe lots of people already have this on their plan - there are tours held in the morning which will take you through all the rooms of the building for free, and there is also a new exhibition which was added recently about the history of Belfast and the key events of the city which we believe is really good for the kids as well (
Leaving Belfast City Hall behind, there is one thing which we believe is important - for women the most :-) - which is shopping. If you want to do a little bit of shopping in Belfast then you have to take our advice and go to the Royal Avenue which is considered one of the main shopping streets in Belfast with different local as well as international brands and there are also some coffee shops and restaurants for those who want to take a rest from their shopping, and there is also the favorite Victoria Square shopping center which carries lots of different shops inside that will give people the chance to buy everything from there, as well as the top floor which is all about restaurants. Lastly, there is also the Castle Court which is one of the original shopping centers in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which carries all the different types of shops that you might be searching for and again there is an eating area with loads of fast food restaurants.
We are suggesting those places which people could visit as some kind of knowing more about the culture and history of Belfast, and we will also suggest those places which will give people a suggestion for a place which they want to visit at night. If you want to have a place to spend your night at then you could head to the Cathedral Quarter which is filled with hotels, restaurants, and bars which you could choose one from and spend some time at ( One of our favorite places is The Merchant Hotel which is the only five stars hotel in Belfast and which is great for those who want to spend their night in a different kind of way like having a cup of tea or enjoying a cocktail.
Just beside The Merchant Hotel there is the famous Anne's Cathedral, which also happens to be one of the most famous cathedrals in Belfast which is really old and one could get inside and have a tour in this old beautiful building (
The best thing about Belfast is that everything is within a walking distance, so walking away from The Merchant Hotel and Anne's Cathedral, one will reach the Albert clock which is a really old monument in Belfast ( and also for those who will get straight across, they will get to the Titanic Quarter where one could enjoy the museum and get the chance to see this area across the river (
The last thing we would recommend for those searching for something to do in Belfast is book a show or performance at the Ulster Hall which hosts a lot of musical events like the classical musical events with the orchestra.
If you want to find more about Belfast then Visit Belfast is the place for you which is a tourist information center.

Places to see in ( Carrickfergus - UK )
Places to see in ( Carrickfergus - UK )
Carrickfergus, colloquially known as Carrick, is a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Carrickfergus sits on the north shore of Belfast Lough, 11 miles from Belfast.
Carrickfergus is County Antrim's oldest town and one of the oldest towns in Ireland as a whole. Carrickfergus was the administrative centre for Carrickfergus Borough Council, before this was amalgamated into the Mid and East Antrim District Council in 2015, and forms part of the Belfast Metropolitan Area. Carrickfergus is also a townland of 65 acres, a civil parish and a barony.
The town is the subject of the classic Irish folk song Carrickfergus, a 19th-century translation of an Irish-language song (Do Bhí Bean Uasal) from Munster, which begins with the words, I wish I was in Carrickfergus. The British peerage title of Baron Carrickfergus, which had become extinct in 1883, was bestowed upon Prince William on his wedding day in 2011.
Carrickfergus railway station opened on 1 October 1862. In addition, the northwest of the town is served by Clipperstown railway station, and the east by Downshire railway station. All three stations have regular commuter services to Belfast and Larne. Three historic stations in Carrickfergus, Barn, Eden and Mount, closed in the 1970s.
( Carrickfergus - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Carrickfergus . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Carrickfergus - UK

Ballycastle Co. Antrim - Places to go to in Northern Ireland
Ballycastle County Antrim - the small town that is located in county Antrim, Northern Ireland, happens to be a touristic place for the attractions it carries and the events that might be taking place in it.
Ballycastle is a small town that is located on the north easternmost coastal tip of the island of Ireland at the northern mainland limit of the Antrim Coast and Glens Area. As much as tourists get astonished with the old historical buildings, they also get mesmerized with the nature they are faced with, and this is one of the things that Ireland in general could manage to offer.
Isn't it always interesting to stand at some point in a country and manage to point out to the borders or to islands that are related to the one next to it? That's exactly the case in Ballycastle, county Antrim, where you could point out to Rathlin Island and Mull of Kintyre which are part of Scotland.
Okay, let's dig deep into the important part now, you might be asking yourself what are the things to do in Ballycastle or the places that you are supposed to visit in order to receive a mesmerizing view; we are going to help you since we have already been there and managed to discover some of these places.
The Fair Head which is a rocky headland found in county Antrim, only three miles away from Ballycastle, and is the point considered the closest to Rathlin Island. There is also the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge; some people might fear the idea of walking on it, but it is actually a whole different experience as well as a different view; this bridge links the gap that is found between the North Atlantic and a small island.
There is also the Bonamargy Friary which is one of the places to visit in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland, and which is an old friary that was discovered in the late Franciscan time. This Friary is one of the historical places that one could visit in Ballycastle, county Antrim that is believed to carry stories behind.
In Ballycastle, county Antrim, Northern Ireland, you will also get the chance to visit the Holy Trinity Church, you could come across the Ballycastle Museum and see what they have inside, and you could also eventually come to check the Kinbane Castle.
The old history is different from nature and if these attractions we mentioned above will be placed among the different places one should visit in Ballycastle, there are still some other nature-related destinations which one should head to, such as the Lough na Carangh Crannog, which is all about the greenery area and the lake and you could also head to the beach - if the Irish weather will give you the chance to! (
For a lot of people, it might be surprising that there are different places and historical buildings which they could visit and which are not part of Belfast or even Dublin ( but there are actually lots and lots of places that people could go to and which are scattered everywhere in Ireland.
After enjoying those castles, bridges, and getting relaxed by the nature, we want to tell you one more thing you could do in Ballycastle, county Antrim, but only if you are visiting it in the last Monday or Tuesday from August; we want to tell you about the Auld Lammas Fair which is held yearly on the same days, specifically because the last Tuesday in August is a Bank Holiday.
Auld Lammas Fair is a traditional fair that is associated with Lammas Harvest Festival. This fair is a history because it is believed to be held now for 400 years, starting back in the 17th century. There are different things to experience in this fair - we have been there and truly enjoyed our time - you will get the chance to taste and buy different types of candies and sweets (it was finally the time to taste the famous traditional Irish yellowman), you will enjoy walking by the horses and getting into a small farm with different types of animals, buy some toys for the kids, and even see some of the products being sold there which you might be interested to buy yourself any of them. This fair is actually exciting and different - OH, we have even played there on the bull game! - but you might spend more time than you expected, so make sure that you don't have any other plans during the day and give yourself some time to go back home if you are not so close to Ballycastle (
Here, at Connolly Cove, we are trying to help you discover lots of places and things about Ireland and Northern Ireland; we are trying to give you suggestions to places to visit and offer you some recommendations to make your trip more interesting and exciting. Recently, we have been trying to get to other countries around the world and expand that help we are trying to offer to the public.
Visit Ballycastle in county Antrim if you have the chance to and enjoy those places we have suggested then tell us about your experience; do you think it is worth the visit?

Lough Shore Park Antrim
Situated on the shores of Lough Neagh, the Lough Shore Park in Antrim is a popular destination for visitors and residents at all times of the year. It is an area steeped in history and natural beauty with many attractions and activities to enjoy.
Hillsborough Fort Co Down
A remarkable place of vast proportions.
It's an Artillery fort built in 1650 by Colonel Arthur Hill - the Hill family built the village of Hillsborough starting with the fort. Remodelled in the 18th Century for feasts and entertainment.
Hillsborough Fort lies just outside the village of Hillsborough in County Down. Set in the beautiful Hillsborough Forest Park and built on the site of the old Magennes stronghold, the Fort was founded in 1630 by Peter Hill and completed around 1650 by Colonel Arthur Hill.
Certainly one of the Historic Houses of Northern Ireland, the Fort consists of a square enclosed by an earthen rampart with outer stone facing. The stone facing rises above the rampart level to form a parapet wall. It was constituted a Royal Fort by Charles II.
William of Orange spent several nights at the Fort on his way South to the Boyne in 1690.
The building’s historic significance is still marked in the 21st Century by the “Hillsborough Old Guard”, a local society which keeps the tradition of the fort alive through re-enactments and events. There is an official Bugler of the Hillsborough Fort Guard (historically the keepers of the Fort) who plays at ceremonial events.
Whilst Adults will ‘get’ the history of the location, kids will love the freedom they can experience in the vast grounds in front of the fort, making it a great family attraction in Northern Ireland. Despite the impression that the location is far from the rest of civilisation, the fort is just metres away from the pleasant centre of Hillsborough, with its restaurants, shops and cafés, and of course, Hillsborough Castle, the official Royal Residence in Northern Ireland.
