Corfu is very easily reachable from Athens with daily flights (1 hour), or from different countries. It takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to get to Corfu by ferry from Igoumenitsa. Ferry boats are available from Italy (Bari, Ancona) as well.
From 1386 to 1797, Corfu was ruled by Venetian nobility, the Old Town of Corfu has clear Venetian influence and is amongst the World Heritage Sites in Greece.

Many beautiful beaches are found around the island, such as Paleokastritsa, Agios Gordis, Nissaki and others. Corfu holidays can be a great experience for families, couples or group of friends, as it has something special for everyone.

In April 2018 we traveled along the magnificent Corfu island. One of the attractions was to find Kaminaki (also known as the Nissaki) cave. There was a big challenge. The website realcorfu.com is fairly well-documented how to get there. From Kerkyra, from the south, you need to cross the entire Nisaki campus until you reach Shell petrol station in Katavalos village. We left our car here. On the other side of the street, you asked a young worker, he somehow remembered and pointed the direction. It is the highest point from the petrol station about 30 m, from which you can walk 30-50 m down the stairs by Kaminaki beach direction, then to the right till the cave entrance. According to our search, the reaction of the local people was that we did not really visit the place, although it's still not a season yet. But it's really worth a visit, especially for those interested in nature, geology. You need to have good mountain shoes, floodlights, perhaps even a helmet. Without scaring inside you can descend deeper and look around. There are large lumps of limestone in the area, but while walking carefully, it is safe enough.
