Zrmanja and Krupa are among the most beautiful rivers in Europe: perfectly clear warm water, spectacular canyon with magnificent waterfalls. They are easy and safe enough for beginner canoeists but their scenery makes them also very exciting. You will see many fish and birds and explore typical karst phenomenon – living travertine waterfalls. The trip begins in Kastel Zegarski, only one hour drive from Zadar. You will quickly learn how to handle sit-on-top kayaks as you slowly enter the canyon. After the first hour of paddling down easy rapids you will – if time and weather permit – visit beautiful Krupa waterfalls and swim under them. More waterfalls and rapids wait for you as you continue down Zrmanja towards Muskovci where the trip ends. At the end of the trip optionally you can enjoy refreshments at a nearby restaurant or take a picnic on your own.

Off Road - Jeep Safari Nature Park Velebit (Croatia)
In our Croatia holiday, we also wanted to explore nature. The Velebit Nature Park and Paklenica National Park were close to our resort Starigrad (Paklenica). The area is very large. The Velebit Natural Park is the largest and highest mountain range in Croatia.
So we decided to book Jeep Safari. The tour went from 9am to 5pm. We had a wonderful day. Nature is almost untouched again.
Only a few people live here. Many roads can only be driven by a jeep. Many legends and legends tower around the mountains. The weather changes a lot quickly and so we came to about 1000 meters high in a thunderstorm with hail.The horses that can be seen are feral horses. In the Velebit are many insects and beautiful
Wildflowers. Up here lives also the horned viper. Also be bears, wolves and lynxes to be home here again.
In unserem Kroatien Urlaub wollten wir natürlich auch die
Natur erkunden. Der Natur Park Velebit und der Nationalpark Paklenica waren in der Nähe unseres Urlaubsortes Starigrad ( Paklenica). Das Gebiet ist jedoch sehr groß. Der Naturpark Velebit ist das größte und höchste Gebirge in Kroatien. So entschlossen wir uns eine Jeep Safari zu buchen. Die Tour ging von 9 Uhr morgens bis 17 Uhr Abends. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Tag. Die Natur ist wieder fast unberührt. Nur noch wenige Menschen leben hier. Viele Straßen sind nur mit einem Jeep zu befahren. Viele Sagen und Legenden ragen um die Berge. Das Wetter wechselt sehr schnell und so kamen wir auf ca. 1000 Meter Höhe auch in ein Gewitter mit Hagel.
Die Pferde, die zu sehen sind, sind verwilderte Pferde. Im Velebit gibt viele Insekten und wunderschöne Wildblumen. Hier oben lebt auch die Hornviper. Auch Bären, Wölfe und Luchse sollen
hier wieder heimisch geworden sein.

Zrmanja is one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. The water is very clear and clean. Many fans of Winnetou and Old Shatterhand know the river, because here were many scenes shot for many Karl May films. The river Zrmanja has beautiful waterfalls.
Canoeing and rafting is very popular here. Breathtakingly beautiful is the Zrmanaj Canyon. Also here were already many film scenes shot. The canyon is about 200 meters deep.
The Zrmanja and its surroundings are beautiful and worth a trip.
Der Zrmanja ist einer der schönsten Flüsse Europas. Das Wasser ist sehr klar und sauber. Viele Fans von Winnetou und Old Shatterhand kennen den Fluss, denn hier wurden viele Szenen für viele Karl May Filme gedreht.Der Fluss Zrmanja verfügt über wunderschöne Wasserfälle. Kanufahren und Rafting ist hier sehr beliebt. Atemberaubend schön ist der Zrmanaj Canyon. Auch hier wurden schon viele Filmszenen gedreht. Der Canyon ist zirka 200 Meter tief. Der Zrmanja und seine Umgebung sind wunderschön und eine Reise wert.
