Toba Lake, Lake in Indonesia - Best Travel Destination
Lake Toba is a lake and supervolcano. The lake is 100 kilometres long, 30 kilometres wide, and up to 505 metres deep. Located in the middle of the northern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra with a surface elevation of about 900 metres (2,953 ft), the lake stretches from 2.88°N 98.52°E to 2.35°N 99.1°E. It is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world.
Two Days at Basic Jungle Lodge Tangkahan. Sumatra
It was out of Nias Island on Wings and back to Sumatra with a very bumpy drive to Tangkahan Jungle Lodge. Please explain to me why I scheduled a trip to Indonesia in the notoriously terrible rainy season? Braindead is the only explanation.
In good weather, Jungle Lodge is worth visiting for Jungle walks, tubing, elephant rides. When it doesn't stop pouring down sheets of rain, all there is to do is eat. Not an entirely bad way to spend two days... I can think of worse...

10km climb. Done it the other way round before. This is much easier but with not enough training (last ride was in Dec 2012 doing the same route the other way round and in April 2013 only 30km ride) the climb was a struggle for me.
