Travel Vlog - Florence, Italy - Day 1
Our first day in Florence, Italy. We meet up with our friends Chris and Jenn from California. They're living in Florence for a few months so they show us some of their favorite sights. We go for a hike up to Piazza Michelangelo, then farther up the hill for lunch in a quaint area called Pian dei Giullari and then we explore the famous Duomo Cathedral.

Hiking from Rifugio Pieralongia to Seceda
9/13/2014, this is the last leg of my Dolomiti hike. A photo of Sas Rigais I saw a few month ago during planning had me add Seceda to the itinerary. This leg will take me to an incredible vista point to view Sas Rigais, before concluding my six-day Dolomiti hike in Seceda.
It had been gloomy in the morning. Luckily the sky cleared after I left Rif. Pieralongia and I got to stroll the alpine meadows at the toe of Sas Rigais, with the sun on my face and an expansive view towards Sella, Sassolungo, Val Gardena, and Sciliar at the tip. An increasing number of cyclists and casual hikers indicated the journey had come to an end. I arrived at Seceda cable station at 12:30pm, and descended to Ortisei with a smile on my face.
