Located in Nidgi, Pune, Appu Ghar boasts of being the very first amusement park in Pune city. It was inaugurated on 19th November of 1984. This amusement park was named after the mascot of Asian Games of 1982, which were held in Delhi. An elephant, named Appu was the mascot of the games.
A theme park, Appu Ghar is situated in Indira Gandhi Udyan, which was earlier, used to be called as Bund Garden. Often referred as a mini Disney land of Pune, this place not just offers innumerable fun rides and but also a serene lake and hilly terrains, waiting to be explored. The vibrant environment of this park, accompanied by a number of fun rides and excellent facilities, make this one of the most popular places in Pune.

Shivneri Fort : Shivneri Fort is a 17th-century military fortification located near Junnar in Pune district in Maharashtra, India. It is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire.
Aga Khan Palace : The Aga Khan Palace was built by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III in Pune, India. Built in 1892, it is one of important landmarks in Indian history. The palace was an act of charity by the Sultan who wanted to help the poor in the neighbouring areas of Pune, who were drastically hit by famine.
Parvati Hill Temple : Parvati Hill is a hillock in Pune, India. The hillock rises to 2,100 feet above sea level. Atop the hillock is the Parvati Temple, one of the most scenic locations in Pune. The temple is the oldest heritage structure in Pune and was built during the rule of the Peshwa dynasty.
Shaniwar Wada : Shaniwarwada is a historical fortification in the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. Built in 1732, it was the seat of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire until 1818, when the Peshwas lost control to the British East India Company after the Third Anglo-Maratha War. Following the rise of the Maratha Empire, the palace became the center of Indian politics in the 18th century.
Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park : The Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, commonly known as the Rajiv Gandhi Zoo or Katraj Zoo, is located in Katraj, Pune district, Maharashtra State, India. It is managed by the Pune Municipal Corporation.
Sinhagad Fort : Sinhagad is a hill fortress located at around 25 km southwest of the city of Pune, India. Some of the information available at this fort suggests that the fort could have been built 2000 years ago. The caves and the carvings in the Kaundinyeshwar temple stand as proofs for the same.
National War Museum : The National War Memorial Southern Command is a war memorial in Pune Cantonment, India, dedicated to post-Independence war martyrs. This is the only war memorial in South Asia which has been erected by citizens' contributions.

Pataleshwar Cave Temple : Pataleshwar Caves has a long history dating back to the 8th century AD. Situated just across the river on the Jungli Maharaj Road, the cave temple bears resemblance with the rock-cut temples of Ellora. Made out of a single hard rock, the temple has its main deity as Pataleshwar. The rock-cut cave temple was carved out in the 8th century AD, during the Rashtrakuta Period.
Purandar Fort is known as the birthplace of Sambhaji, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort is repeatedly mentioned in the rising of Shivaji against the Adil Shahi Bijapur Sultanate and the Mughals.
