Guayarte - a brand new space for creatives and foodies.
Malecon 2000 and Malecon del Salado - beautiful walking areas, but with two very different vibes. Malecon 2000 is busier and more modern. Malecon del Salado is older, peaceful, and calm.
Iguana Park - exactly what it sounds like. Dozens (or hundreds?) of wild iguanas roaming around a public park.
La Perla - South America’s biggest ferris wheel, with a view worthy of a few photos.
Parque Histórico (don’t miss Bocca while you’re there) - an absolutely beautiful park with a great little zoo for kids and adults alike.

Es conocida como La Ciudad Blanca por sus fachadas blancas con las que se bendijo la reconstruida ciudad en 1872 después del devastador terremoto de 1868. También llamada Ciudad a la que siempre se vuelve por su pintoresca campiña, clima veraniego y amabilidad de sus gentes. En el censo de 2010 tenía una población de 131 856 habitantes, lo que la convierte en la décimo quinta ciudad más poblada del país. La ciudad es el núcleo del área metropolitana de Ibarra, la cual está constituida, además, por ciudades y parroquias rurales cercanas. La aglomeración alberga a más de 250 000 habitantes.
Fue fundada por el español Cristóbal de Troya, el 28 de septiembre de 1606, por orden de Miguel de Ibarra y Mallea; y en la actualidad es uno de los principales núcleos urbanos de Ecuador. Es uno de los más importantes centros administrativos, económicos, financieros y comerciales de la nación. Las actividades principales de la ciudad son la agroindustria y la procesación de alimentos como la cebada, la remolacha, la caña de azúcar, la patata, las legumbres, cítricos, viñedos y aceitunas.

Quevedo, city of the Los Rios province located in the Western lowlands region of Ecuador. With around 200.000 residents it is a mid-size city in Ecuador. Quevedo is an important city in the agriculture sector of Ecuador. It is one of fast growing cities in Ecuador. Roads are being built, dilapidated houses are being replaced by appartments or villa's, shopping centres are being built to boost the economic activities etc etc. In recent years non-agricultural activities have experienced significant progress mainly in the financial and educational sectors. Quevedo's geographic location makes it an important logistics link between the Pacific coastal area's main population centers like Guayaquil, Santo Domingo and Manta and cities in the Andes highlands such as Ambato and Quito. Quevedo is an upcoming city that will rise through the hard work of its residents.
