Picnic on a raft at Lake Pandin | San Pablo City, Laguna | Philippines | We.Are.Wanderful
A Viaje del Sol family adventure and tour
JULY 19, 2015—We were doing the rounds on the famous Seven Lakes of San Pablo City in Laguna, as part of our first Viaje del Sol family adventure and tour in the province of Laguna. We planned and timed our itinerary so we will have lunch at Lake Pandin. Visitors to Lake Pandin are treaated to a picnin on a bamboo raft. We ate our lunch while our raft is being pulled on a tow-line rope to bring us to the far end of the lake where we had a really pleasant time just enjoying the cool shade and refreshing lake water. The kids and I even decided to take a dip into the cool emerald water.
Lake Pandin is considered to be the most pristine among the seven lakes in San Pablo City. It is also the best developed for eco-tourism. It is really a good thing that the residents around the lake have organized themselves into a cooperative to preserve and protect the lake. This same cooperative is now prpoviding livelihood to its members through its effective management of the lakes eco-tourism.
This is a short slideshow video presentation of our photos at Lake Pandin. Enjoy watching.

Bato Spring - A Natural Public Pool Resort in San Pablo Laguna
Bato Spring - A Natural Public Pool Resort in San Pablo Laguna
Bato Spring is located at San Pablo, Laguna, going to Dolores, Quezon. They have four pools. Two pools are tiled, while the other two have cemented floors, making the spring somewhat more natural. The water being used in pools comes from Mt. Banahaw, which many people believed that it can cure a variety of ailments. The water in Bato Spring is very cold, but it is very good in relieving stress.
Bato Spring is a perfect place to relax, unwind and reflect with nature. It is also a romantic place if you want to spend quality time with your family or a special someone. It is a place of natural home for butterflies, dragonflies, birds and other local wild animals and insects. It is one of the best resorts to bring your friends and family to enjoy the beauty of Laguna. I’ve been to so many resorts but this one really captured my attention. It has very clear and sparkling mineral water gushing down the mountain of Banahaw.
Walking around Bato Spring is quite enjoyable. The place is very peaceful, especially if you will visit the place from Monday to Friday. You’ll see different kinds of huts and cottages that guest can rent and stay overnight. The cottages are your typical booth, a table in the middle, a nipa roof on top. The huts, which are of different sizes, are reminiscent of the traditional nipa hut but with some obviously modern furnishings like metal roofing, cement ladders, posts and glass windows. They offer rooms that is good up to 8 persons. The resort also have a large pavilion for different functions and events, this is also a fun place for your friends, families and officemates to sing your favorite videoke song.
If you didn't bring enough food and drinks, they have a store open until 10 p.m. They also offer short order food. You can order different dishes from their menu. It’s relly not that expensive but if you have your own food, of course you’ll save money. But if you come as a group, I suggest bringing your own food. You can also bring utensils for cooking so you can prepare and cook your meal on the spot.
To reach the main entrance of the resort, it will be about a 5-minute drive. Don't bring a car that has a low clearance from the ground. Eventhough the road is cemented, some portions have deep depressions or bumps.
It's better to arrive early in the morning, since the place becomes crowded later in the day.
If you are looking for a place in San Pablo, Laguna, where your are in sync with nature, and definitely within your budget, Bato Spring is the place to be.
