Located along the panhandle in the region known as the Emerald Coast, Santa Rosa Beach is one of 16 separate seaside neighborhoods along a 26-mile stretch in South Walton County.
It is famous for its sugar sand beaches and turquoise surf, the color being a happy result of how the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico reflect off the white sand.
The shoreline of Santa Rosa Beach extends between Four Mile Village to Inlet Beach, just before the Walton and Bay County lines. The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is in close proximity.
The community is a travel magazine favorite, frequently showing up on lists of top beaches and preferred family friendly destinations. Life revolves around the water with such activities as fishing, kayaking and standup paddleboarding, but the area also has an active arts and dining scene with galleries, cafes and numerous festivals. It’s not surprising Santa Rosa visitors have a repeat rate of 94 percent. Outdoor life on the Gulf is vibrant. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park has more than three miles of white sand beaches and, famously, sand dunes nearly 25 feet high. Off-road bicyclists and hikers head to Point Washington State Park, a 15,000-acre preserve. It’s a setting unlikely to change. Forty percent of the South Walton area is state-owned and protected from development.

Santa Rosa Beach Florida Vacation 2019
This is our 2nd year going to Santa Rosa Beach. We stayed at Gulf Place right on 30A highway. About 100 yards or so from the beach. My family along with my Brother and Sister-in-law and their family. Metal Detecting Santa Rosa Beach, Fl after my day at Gulf Islands National Seashore National Park. One very nice find and I didn't even need my metal detector!
About Me:
My name is Phil and I travel most of the time by myself, in a 2017 Thor Quantum RS26 (Ford E450 chassis) Class C RV.
I travel about 50 to 100 miles a day chasing adventure and metal detecting.
Average RV MPG: 8-11mpg depending on generator use.
Solar System: Two 165w panels for a total of 330 watts on tilting brackets on the roof.
Epever 30A MPPT Solar Charge Controller (Tracer A Series 3210A) with a MT-50 solar charge LCD display.
(fused at the panels and batteries with 30amp fuses).
Inverter: Go Power GP-SW2000-12 2000-Watt pure sine wave inverter with a Go Power GP-SWR-B-12 remote meter.
wired into the house system with a Go Power TS-30 30 amp automatic transfer switch.
Currently I have two AGM batteries totaling 200 amp hours (I plan to expand in the future).

5. IPhone 5S for some shots (when other cameras battery's run out and/or I just forgot)
6. IPhone 5S for driving shots of me and out the side windows.

Audio: Cameras (sometime with external Rode or Lavalier mic with wind cover) or
IPhone 5S recorder app (audio swapped in post-production)

Spring Break in Santa Rosa Beach, FL
We left the camper at home and crusied down to Florida for Spring Break this year. We returned to Santa Rosa Beach and had a great week, full of swimming, shopping, eating and a new adventure, kayaking!
