Scarperia bevindt zich in de Mugello streek in de regio Firenze. De gemeente is vooral bekend om zijn prachtige paleis Palazzo dei Vicari maar is tevens een belangrijk centrum voor de productie van messen waardoor je overal in het centrum nog winkeltjes van ambachtslui aantreft die messen produceren en verkopen.
