10 THINGS TO DO ON SIQUIJOR ISLAND, PHILIPPINES:
1. STAY ON THE BEACH
Most visitors who come to Siquijor Island stay on the west coast around San Juan, there’s a few hostels and restaurants, and a nice beach call Paliton. Honestly, I didn’t spend much time over there.
Instead, I opted for a little beach cottage on the east side, north of Larena - Casa de La Playa.
2. RENT A SCOOTER
I was told before my trip to The Philippines that renting a scooter was the best way to get around on most islands, and this was my first time experiencing it.
The simple freedom and local access made this one of my favorite aspects of the entire three month trip.
3. VISIT LAZI CHURCH
Built with sea stones and wood by Filipino artisans in 1884, was declared a National Cultural Treasure and nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage list.
4. ROPE SWING AT CAMUGAHAY FALLS
A short drive from Lazi Church is one of the most visited attractions on the island, Camugahay Calls.
You can get a guide at the entrance, and it’s nice to help the local economy, but it’s really not necessary.
5. VISIT LAZI
Next up, it’s over to the sleepy town of Lazi for lunch.
6. EAT PANDESAL
Simple dinner-roll-style bread that is served up in most bakeries around Siquijor Island.
7. VISIT CENTURY OLD BALETE TREE
Experience the very weird feeling of having your feet nibbled on by small fish at the base of a beautiful old Balete Tree.
8. CLIFF JUMP SALAGDOONG BEACH
The most popular attraction on Siquijor Island is the two diving boards at Salagdoong Beach.
9. PORTSIDE CAFE IN LARENA
Have a massive cheeseburger at the Portside Cafe in Larena. This is a good spot to eat if you are waiting for the ferry
10. SUNSET AT MT. BANDILAAN TOWER
Traverse through the small villages and up above the tree line to Mt. Bandilaan for sunset. The tower is not an easy thing to find so be sure to ask a local on your way up.

Avelovinit is back with another Beach vlog! Went to the Mystical Island of Siquijor, Philippines a week ago with Martin Solhaugen and Chito - a local from Siquijor and Dumaguete City to explore it's beauty! I already made a vlog about this last year so I decided to why not show Martin one of my highly recommended island to visit in the Philippines. We checked out different places and stumbled upon the hidden cave in Cambugahay waterfalls that even some of the locals didn't know existed. One of the best things to do in the Philippines is to visit it's different island and explore the beautiful beaches - Siquijor of Negros Oriental is definitely a no exception!

In this video we visited some of the main attractions in Siquijor. First we went to Cambugahay falls which consists of 3 little falls with beautiful aqua blue water, a good place to relax and also have fun as there are some rope swings there. The second place was Salagdoong beach resort which has a nice little beach and also some pretty high cliff jumping spots! This was the perfect final day in Siquijor.

Philippines Day 2-5 - Siquijor Island
Our first days of this trip, we rented a motorbike that got punctured tires three times the first day, leaving us to push the bike for 30minutes before a wonderful person stopped his van and offered us and the bike a ride to our hotel. Which we realized was about 10km away...
That person would accept any money for the favor. He just wanted us to remember the people of Siquijor in a good way. And that we truly do.
