Yogyakarta City, Java, Indonesia 1
Yogyakarta City, Java, Indonesia 2013
Another video Yogyakarta, Java, part 2
Yogyakarta (also Jogja or Jogjakarta) is a city and the capital of Yogyakarta Special Region in Java, Indonesia.
The area of the city of Yogyakarta is 32.5 square kilometres (12.5 square miles). While the city spreads in all directions from the kraton (the Sultan's palace), the core of the modern city is to the north, centered around Dutch colonial-era buildings and the commercial district. Jalan Malioboro, with rows of pavement vendors and nearby market and malls, is the primary shopping street for tourists in the city, while Jalan Solo, further north, is a shopping district more frequented by locals. At the southern end of Malioboro, on the east side is the large local market of Beringharjo, not far from Fort Vredeburg, a restored Dutch fort.
At Yogyakarta's centre is the Kraton, or Sultan's palace. Surrounding the kraton is a densely populated residential neighbourhood that occupies land that was formerly the Sultan's sole domain. Evidence of this former use remains in the form of old walls and the ruined Taman Sari, built in 1758 as a pleasure garden. No longer used by the sultan, the garden has been largely abandoned. For a time, it was used for housing by palace employees and descendants. Reconstruction efforts began in 2004, and an effort to renew the neighbourhood around the kraton has begun. The site is a developing tourist attraction.

In the west there are the ruins of the temple which still in the process of excavation and has not been restored after added by a small garden, there is a higher terrace with pretty much ruins are thought to originate from some small cult temples collection (perwara). One of this temple was restored in 2013.
The main of temple complexs
The main of temple complex located in the eastern part occupies the highest terrace. In this section there is the main temple (one restored), flanking the temple, and ancillary temples. Kala-makara pattern is commonly found in the decoration of temples in Central Java. As found in other temples in Central Java and Yogyakarta, the second time the head is not equipped with the lower jaw. Bamboo forest of Mount Merapi
#Dlium The bamboo forest of Mount Merapi is a diverse natural home of various bamboo species living in the wild on the southern slopes of Mount Merapi in the Turgo region, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. This is a protected area within the Mount Merapi National Park.
The various bamboo species grow together in a location in the forest and are very dense. A species is only about the size of a little finger growing in clusters, whereas elsewhere different species have giant sizes and are tens of meters high.
Mount Merapi National Park has at least six species of bamboo including Cendani bamboo (Phyllostachys aurea), Giant bamboo or Dragon bamboo or Petung bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper), Ampel bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris), Java black bamboo or Wulung bamboo (Gigantochloa atroviolacea) , String bamboo or Pring tali bamboo or Pring apus bamboo (Gigantochloa apus) and bamboo Legi (Gigantochloa atter).
Bamboo that grows tightly covers the path creating labyrinthine passageways. Wind shakes the tops of high canopies and moves bamboo to produce magical krotok ... krotok ... sounds where several bamboo trees rub against each other.
Sunlight pierced through the grove between the tall pillars resulting in a panorama of silhouette. In the morning, the rays of reddish light in a green environment like a painting that impresses in a combination of young colors and old colors.
